The identification of permissible HLA class II mismatches can prevent DSA in mismatched transplantation. The HLA-DR phenotype of recipients contributes to DSA formation by presenting allo-HLA-derived peptides to T-helper cells, which induces the ...

Donor HLA−DR Drives the Development of De Novo Autoimmunity Following Lung and Heart Transplantation
Background. Individuals harbor preexisting HLA−DR/DQ−restricted responses to collagen type V (ColV) mediated by Th17 cells under Treg control, both specific to peptides that bind to inherited HLA class II antigens. Yet after transplant, the donor−DR type

Immunological Compatibility Status of Placenta-Derived Stem Cells is Mediated by Scaffold 3D Structure [PDF]
Placenta-derived amniotic epithelial cells (AECs), a great cell source for tissue engineering and stem cell therapy, are immunologically inert in their native state; however, immunological changes in these cells after culture and differentiation have ...

HLA-DR antigen-negative acute myeloid leukemia [PDF]
Human leukocyte antigen (HLA) Class II antigens are variably expressed on acute myeloid leukemia (AML) blasts. The biological and clinical significance of HLA Class II antigen expression by AML cells is not known. Therefore, we sought to characterize cases of AML without detectable HLA-DR expression. Samples from 248 consecutive adult AML patients were

The role of HLA-DP mismatches and donor specific HLA-DP antibodies in kidney transplantation : a case series [PDF]
BACKGROUND: The impact of HLA-DP mismatches on renal allograft outcome is still poorly understood and is suggested to be less than that of the other HLA loci.

HLA‐DR antigens in gold‐induced neutropenia [PDF]
We studied the clinical courses of 9 patients who developed acute gold-induced neutropenia with marrow aplasia. Eight of these carried HLA-DR4, compared with only 2 of 9 who had mild, chronic, isolated neutropenia (P less than 0.05). Only 1 of 9 patients with myelotoxicity carried HLA-DR3.

Antibodies (a/t) to antigens (a/g) of human tissue compatibility HLA (human leucocyte antigens) are the main cause of kidney transplant rejection. Antigens of the HLAI class system (loci A, B, C) are present on all nucleated cells of the body, HLA class
