First Report on Mycotoxin Contamination of Hops (Humulus lupulus L.)

open access: yesToxins
The presence of mycotoxins and other toxic metabolites in hops (Humulus lupulus L.) was assessed for the first time. In total, 62 hop samples were sampled in craft breweries, and analyzed by a multi-toxin LS-MS/MS method. The study collected samples from

Enhancing the EAST-ADL error model with HiP-HOPS semantics [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014
EAST-ADL is a domain-specific modelling language for the engineering of automotive embedded systems. The language has abstractions that enable engineers to capture a variety of information about design in the course of the lifecycle — from requirements ...

Defects Dynamic in Photo‐Excited CeO2 and their Influence on CO2 Photoreduction

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
X‐ray photoelectron spectroscopy study under light excitation is presented to track the defect dynamic (Ce4+ to Ce3+) in CeO2. Surface enhanced Raman spectroscopy confirmed the key role of Ce3+ states in controlling charge and energy transfer across the CeO2‐dye molecule interface.

Changes in antioxidative properties of hops in the course of drying, milling, pelletization and storage.

open access: yesKvasný průmysl, 2007
Post harvest drying of green hops causes loss of some antioxidative activity. This loss does not generally exceed 5 % of the original RADPPH value. Drying also affected decrease in polyphenol substances content.

Ultrahigh‐Yield, Multifunctional, and High‐Performance Organic Memory for Seamless In‐Sensor Computing Operation

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Molecular engineering of a nonconjugated radical polymer enables a significant enhancement of the glass transition temperature. The amorphous nature and tunability of the polymer, arising from its nonconjugated backbone, facilitates the fabrication of organic memristive devices with an exceptionally high yield (>95%), as well as substantial ...

Hops Crowning Trial [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014
As the acreage of hops continues to rapidly expand in the northeast, there is a great need for production knowledge specific to our region. Downy mildew has been identified as the primary pathogen plaguing our hop yards. This disease causes reduced yield,

Self‐Trapped Hole Migration and Defect‐Mediated Thermal Quenching of Luminescence in α‐ and β‐Ga2O3

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Temperature‐dependent photoluminescence and first‐principles calculations reveal self‐trapped hole migration as the microscopic origin of thermal quenching in α‐ and β‐Ga2O3. The low migration barrier in α‐Ga2O3 enables defect trapping and enhances blue luminescence, while the higher barrier in β‐Ga2O3 preserves ultraviolet emission at elevated ...

An efficient bandwidth demand estimation for delay reduction in IEEE 802.16j MMR WiMAX network [PDF]

open access: yes, 2010
IEEE 802.16j MMR WiMAX networks allow the number of hops between the user and the MMR-BS to be more than two hops. The standard bandwidth request procedure in WiMAX network introduces much delay to the user data and acknowledgement of the TCP packet that
