Hepatocyte BDNF Acts as a Novel Immune Checkpoint to Restrain TLR4‐Mediated Acute Hepatitis
This study identifies hepatocyte‐derived BDNF as an endogenous TLR4 antagonist that alleviates acute hepatitis. BDNF is downregulated in hepatocytes via REST‐mediated transcriptional repression during ALI/ALF. Mechanistically, BDNF binds to TLR4 on macrophages to suppress inflammation.

The Hsp60 protein of helicobacter pylori displays chaperone activity under acidic conditions
The heat shock protein, Hsp60, is one of the most abundant proteins in Helicobacter pylori. Given its sequence homology to the Escherichia coli Hsp60 or GroEL, Hsp60 from H.

Chaperonopathies and Chaperonotherapy. Hsp60 as Therapeutic Target in Cancer: Potential Benefits and Risks. [PDF]
In this minireview we focus on Hsp60 as a target for anticancer therapy. We discuss the new concepts of chaperonopathies and chaperonotherapy and present information on Hsp60 localization in the cell membrane of human tumor cells.

Environmental cadmium exposure disrupts testicular homeostasis through a novel intercellular communication axis. Stressed Sertoli cells release extracellular vesicles carrying damage‐associated molecular patterns and mitochondrial fragments, which activate macrophages via TLR4/NF‐κB signaling.

Cytosolic Hsp60 is involved in the NF-kappaB-dependent survival of cancer cells via IKK regulation. [PDF]
Cytoplasmic presence of Hsp60, which is principally a nuclear gene-encoded mitochondrial chaperonin, has frequently been stated, but its role in intracellular signaling is largely unknown.

ALKBH3 m1A Demethylase Deficiency Reduces Alzheimer's Amyloid‐β Pathology
This study identifies that ALKBH3‐driven m1A demethylation orchestrates Alzheimer's disease progression by disrupting mitochondrial and synaptic homeostasis. This epitranscriptomic mechanism suppresses PINK1‐mediated mitophagy via m1A erasure, leading to mitochondrial dysfunction, oxidative stress, elevated Aβ production, and impaired microglial ...

Chlamydia trachomatis infection and anti-Hsp60 immunity: the two sides of the coin. [PDF]
Chlamydia trachomatis (CT) infection is one of the most common causes of reproductive tract diseases and infertility. CT-Hsp60 is synthesized during infection and is released in the bloodstream.
