This study developed an oral bioinspired peroxisome‐engineered probiotic (BPEP) by anchoring lipid‐encapsulated ruthenium nanozymes onto Escherichia coli Nissle 1917, utilizing probiotics to deliver nanozymes to the intestinal barrier for reactive oxygen species/reactive nitrogen species elimination, tight junction restoration, and gut microbiota ...

Prospective multi‐site cohorts, multi‐omics profiling, and computational analysis may help identify biomarker patterns across clinical settings in IBD and superimposed infections. With further mechanistic and clinical validation, these signals could support the development of practical multi‐analyte tools for more precise diagnosis and management ...

Efficient Recovery of Complete Gut Viral Genomes by Combined Short‐ and Long‐Read Sequencing
Current metagenome assembled human gut phage catalogs contained mostly fragmented genomes. Here, comprehensive gut virome detection procedure is developed involving virus‐like particle (VLP) enrichment from ≈500 g feces and combined sequencing of short ...

Oral virome metagenomic catalog links Porphyromonas gingivalis phages to obesity and type 2 diabetes
Summary: The human microbiota has a critical role in maintaining human microbiome homeostasis and health, yet the viral component of the oral microbiome remains largely unidentified.

What is (not) known about the dynamics of the human gut virome in health and disease
The human gut virome has an important role in human health but its dynamics remain poorly understood. Few longitudinal studies in healthy adults showed a stable temporal gut virome, with high inter-individual diversity. In contrast, the infant virome shows a high temporal intra-individual diversity.

The Chinese gut virus catalogue reveals gut virome diversity and disease-related viral signatures
Background The gut viral community has been increasingly recognized for its role in human physiology and health; however, our understanding of its genetic makeup, functional potential, and disease associations remains incomplete.
