Lilrb4a Suppression Reprograms Microglia to Mitigate APOE4‐Associated Amyloid Plaques and Cerebral Amyloid Angiopathy in Association With a PPAR‐Linked Pro‐Clearance State

open access: yesAdvanced Science, Volume 13, Issue 50, 7 September 2026.
Targeting Lilrb4a in Apolipoprotein E4 (APOE4)‐associated Alzheimer's disease (AD) reprograms microglia toward a beneficial, phagocytic state. Genetic deletion or antisense inhibition of Lilrb4a suppresses p‐SHP2/NF‐κB/STAT1 signaling, restores PPAR‐linked lipid and energy metabolism, and reduces amyloid plaque burden and cerebral amyloid angiopathy ...

Placental Site Trophoblastic Tumor Acquires Immune Functions by Incorporating Host Maternal Genes

open access: yesAdvanced Science, Volume 13, Issue 50, 7 September 2026.
PSTT cells, through cell fusion with B cells, incorporate abundant non‐inherited maternal genes that are detectable by DNIMA. These hybrid cells acquire immunotherapy‐resistant genetic changes and increase the expression of B cell‐derived immune‐related molecules such as Ig, HLA, LILRB, SIGLEC10, and so on, creating an immunotolerant environment around

Production of monoclonal antibodies (mAbs) against oralcarcinoma & its bioconjugation with solid lipid nanoparticles (SLN) for drug delivery

open access: yesDiscover Oncology
This preliminary study explores a dual strategy of augmenting anticancer therapy with Carboplatin-loaded solid lipid nanoparticles (SLNs) alongside antigen-specific antibodies through immunization of KB oral carcinoma cells.

Analysis of the Role of N‐Linked Glycans on Human CD1d Molecules

open access: yesCell Biochemistry and Function, Volume 44, Issue 9, September 2026.
ABSTRACT CD1d is a cell‐surface expressed glycoprotein that presents a variety of lipid and glycolipid antigens to invariant natural killer T‐cells (iNKT). We have examined the role of the N‐linked glycans on the human CD1d (hCD1d) in modulating the responses of iNKT cells using a combination of cell‐free, cell‐based assays and in silico analyses ...

Young Adult Microglial Deletion of C1q Reduces Engulfment of Synapses and Partially Mitigates Cognitive Impairment in an Aggressive Alzheimer's Disease Mouse Model

open access: yesGlia, Volume 74, Issue 9, September 2026.
Young adult deletion of microglial C1q reduced engulfment of Vglut1+ synapses and mitigated spatial cognitive deficits at 10 months of age in the amyloidopathy Arctic mouse model of AD. Neither fibrillar amyloid plaques nor soluble or insoluble Aβ levels in the hippocampus were affected by young adult microglial loss of C1q despite reduced phagocytosis

Aging Alters Hair Cell Physiological Properties in Mice With Late‐Onset Age‐Related Hearing Loss

open access: yesAging Cell, Volume 25, Issue 9, September 2026.
Hidden hearing loss during aging is associated with peripheral auditory system decline. We discovered that aging sensory hair cells decrease in size. In addition, inner hair cells exhibit a reduced K+ current carried out by BK channels, accompanied by an elevated resting membrane potential, suggesting an age‐related functional impairment.
