Various substituted chromane‐2‐carboxamides were successfully deracemized by employing a chiral benzophenone (BP, 10 mol%) as photocatalyst and an achiral thiol as additive (20 mol%). The method was applied to the concise enantioselective synthesis of five active pharmaceutical ingredients.

The overall prevalence of sensitization to FA/FRs was 1.9% (48/2592). ACD was diagnosed in 37.5% (18/48), comprising non‐occupational ACD (83.3%) and occupational ACD (16.7%). FA 1%–2% aq. failed to detect FR sensitisation in 31.9% (n = 15/47) and FR‐induced ACD in 35.3% (n = 6/17) of patients.

Selective late‐stage modification of N‐terminal phenylalanine short peptides is achived by visible‐light initiated reaction with N‐iodoimides in a debenzylation–amination process. This metal‐free method permits the incorporation of N‐containing heterocycles into the α‐position of the peptide backbone.
