Phytochemical Characterization of Extracts From Aesculus hippocastanum L. Seeds and Quantification of Saponins Using HPLC‐DAD and a Novel Tensiometric Approach

Aesculus hippocastanum L. seed extracts prepared according to pharmacopeial methods were comprehensively characterized using HPLC‐DAD‐ESI‐MSn and GC‐MS. Furthermore, a novel bubble pressure tensiometric approach and an HPLC‐DAD method were employed for the quantitative analysis of surface‐active components.

Engineered skin tissue by 3D bioprinting of hydrogels comprising alginate‐gelatin‐collagen and laden with human dermal fibroblasts and keratinocytes were successfully produced. The viability and phenotypes of the fibroblasts and keratinocytes were all well maintained within the printed constructs using MTT, live/dead and immunofluorescence assays.

Cyclodextrin‐Based Supramolecular Complex Modulates the Bioaccessibility and Vascular Activity of Plinia peruviana Extract

Cyclodextrin complexation improved the delivery of plant polyphenols by increasing intestinal bioaccessibility while preserving vascular activity and maintaining low oral toxicity.
