Mechanistic Insights Into the Association Between Gut Microbiota Diversity and Atherosclerosis, Acute Coronary Syndrome, and Peripheral Arterial Disease Progression

open access: yesClinical Cardiology, Volume 49, Issue 9, September 2026.
Proposed gut‐vascular framework linking microbial ecology to atherosclerotic disease. Diet and related exposures shape dysbiosis or microbial resilience; resulting changes in SCFAs, TMAO, bile acids, and LPS may modulate endothelial function, immune activation, and platelet activity, contributing to atherosclerosis, ACS, and PAD.

Venetoclax for elderly patients with acute myeloid leukaemia unfit for intensive chemotherapy: Prospects, resistance mechanisms and management strategies

open access: yesClinical and Translational Medicine, Volume 16, Issue 9, September 2026.
Resistance to venetoclax has become a critical bottleneck limiting its long‐term clinical benefits. A thorough understanding of the underlying resistance mechanisms and the development of novel strategies to overcome resistance are central to improving survival outcomes in elderly AML patients. Abstract To date, the treatment of acute myeloid leukaemia

Iron‐Sulfur Cluster Targeting: A Novel Perspective for Treating Alcohol‐Related Lipid Metabolic Diseases

open access: yesJournal of Biochemical and Molecular Toxicology, Volume 40, Issue 9, September 2026.
Alcohol metabolism induces structural instability of iron‐sulfur clusters through ROS‐mediated oxidative damage and direct covalent modification of acetaldehyde. The iron‐sulfur cluster deficiency drives metabolic reprogramming by inactivating aconitase, accumulating succinate, and impairing tRNA thiolation, thereby promoting hepatic steatosis ...

Metabolic Syndrome: From Mechanisms to Therapeutic Interventions

open access: yesMedComm, Volume 7, Issue 9, September 2026.
A comprehensive overview of molecular mechanisms delves into the potential disease mechanisms of metabolic syndrome, including complex mechanisms such as insulin resistance, chronic low‐grade inflammation, oxidative stress, and epigenetic modifications, and how these mechanisms contribute to the development of metabolic syndrome. Here, the relationship

METTL14‐Mediated N6‐Methyladenosine Exacerbates Acute Lung Injury via USP30/NCOA4‐Dependent Ferroptosis

open access: yesMedComm, Volume 7, Issue 9, September 2026.
METTL14‐mediated N6‐methyladenosine aggravates ischemia/reperfusion‐induced acute lung injury by enhancing YTHDF1‐dependent USP30 expression. USP30 stabilizes NCOA4 through deubiquitination, thereby promoting ferritinophagy, iron accumulation, lipid peroxidation, and ferroptosis in lung epithelial cells.
