Physicochemical and Structural Properties of Pomelo Peel Pectin From Majiayou Pomelo With Different Storage Periods

open access: yesFood Science &Nutrition, Volume 13, Issue 6, June 2025.
Fresh MPP0 showed better physicochemical and functional properties for application in pharmaceuticals and cosmetics; no‐freshness MPP (MPP60 and MPP150) has good prospects for implementation in foods. ABSTRACT Majiayou pomelo peel (MPP) pectin obtained from Majiayou pomelo with different storage periods (0–150 days) was compared based on ...

Anti‐Hyperlipidemic and Anti‐Atherogenic Effect of Citrus Peel Pectin Against Cholesterol and Cholic Acid Induced Hyperlipidemia in Sprague Dawley Rats

open access: yesFood Science &Nutrition, Volume 13, Issue 6, June 2025.
ABSTRACT This study was designed to explore the anti‐hyperlipidemic and anti‐atherogenic effects of citrus peel‐derived pectin. A total of 70 Sprague Dawley rats were categorized into 7 groups with 10 rats in each group. Hyperlipidemia was induced in all groups by adding cholesterol (1.5%) and cholic acid (0.5%) to the normal diet for 15 days.

Effect of VIVO(dipic-Cl)(H2O)2 on Lipid Metabolism Disorders in the Liver of STZ-Induced Diabetic Rats

open access: yesJournal of Diabetes Research, 2013
Vanadium complexes are potent antidiabetic agents for therapeutical treatment of diabetes. In the present study, we investigated the hypolipidemic effect of VIVO(dipic-Cl)(H2O)2 (V4dipic-Cl) in liver of streptozotocin- (STZ-)-induced diabetic rats.
