SUMMARY Two isolants of infectious bursal disease virus (IBDV) were found to induce interferon production in chicken embryo fibroblast (CEF) cell cultures. Both isolants were similar in one-step multiplication cycles and interferon-inducing properties. Interferon production was closely related to virus multiplication.
