IgG Glycome in Colorectal Cancer [PDF]

open access: yesClinical Cancer Research, 2016
AbstractPurpose: Alternative glycosylation has significant structural and functional consequences on IgG and consequently also on cancer immunosurveillance. Because of technological limitations, the effects of highly heritable individual variations and the differences in the dynamics of changes in IgG glycosylation on colorectal cancer were never ...

Obesity alters the fitness of peritumoral adipose tissue, exacerbating tumor invasiveness in renal cancer through the induction of ADAM12 and CYP1B1

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Tumor microenvironment drives cancer formation and progression. We analyzed the role of human cancer‐associated adipocytes from patients with renal cell carcinoma (RCC) stratified as lean, overweight, or obese. RNA‐seq demonstrated that, among the most altered genes involved in the tumor–stroma crosstalk, are ADAM12 and CYP1B1, which were proven to be ...

Geochemical particularities of microbioliths of the Miocene (South-Western Crimea) by ICP-MS data

open access: yesЛитосфера, 2019
Background. In this paper, we provide new data on the morphology and geochemistry of heraclites, which are represented by specific products formed by degradation of the carbonate paleostructures of prokaryotes around the degassing zones of the Miocene ...

Evaluation of a COVID-19 IgM and IgG rapid test; an efficient tool for assessment of past exposure to SARS-CoV-2

open access: yesInfection Ecology & Epidemiology, 2020
COVID-19 is the most rapidly growing pandemic in modern time, and the need for serological testing is most urgent. Although the diagnostics of acute patients by RT-PCR is both efficient and specific, we are also crucially in need of serological tools for

Optimization of IgG Enrichment Process in Bovine Colostrum Whey by Microfiltration-Ultrafiltration Combined Technology

open access: yesShipin gongye ke-ji, 2022
In order to efficiently enrich IgG, reduce waste of bovine colostrum and improve the product value, the combined microfiltration-ultrafiltration technology was used to enrich IgG in bovine colostrum whey.

The History of IgG Glycosylation and Where We Are Now.

open access: yesGlycobiology, 2019
IgG glycosylation is currently at the forefront of both immunology and glycobiology, likely due in part to the widespread and growing use of antibodies as drugs.

IgG cryoglobulinemia.

open access: yesEuropean review for medical and pharmacological sciences, 2018
Mixed Cryoglobulinemia is the most well-known Hepatitis C Virus (HCV)-associated extrahepatic manifestation. MC is both an autoimmune and B-lymphoproliferative disorder. Cryoglobulins (CGs) are classified into three groups according to immunoglobulin (Ig) composition: type I is composed of one isotype or Ig class.

Targeting PRAME directly or via EZH2 inhibition overcomes retinoid resistance and represents a novel therapy for keratinocyte carcinoma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
The study evaluated the function and therapeutic implications of PRAME in basal cell carcinoma (BCC) and squamous cell carcinoma (SCC). The findings demonstrate that PRAME impairs keratinocyte differentiation pathways. Furthermore, PRAME impairs anticancer response to retinoid compounds in BCC and SCC cells.

IMMUNOGLOBULINS IN COLOSTRUM OF SOWS WITH PORCINE REPRODUCTIVE AND RESPIRATORY SYNDROME - PRRS [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Central European Agriculture, 2012
The aim of this study was to examine the effect of PRRS occurrence on sow colostrum immunological quality. We realised the experiment on 20 sows (breed: Large white).

Functional immunomics: Microarray analysis of IgG autoantibody repertoires predicts the future response of NOD mice to an inducer of accelerated diabetes [PDF]

open access: yes, 2004
One's present repertoire of antibodies encodes the history of one's past immunological experience. Can the present autoantibody repertoire be consulted to predict resistance or susceptibility to the future development of an autoimmune disease? Here we developed an antigen microarray chip and used bioinformatic analysis to study a model of type 1 ...
