ATF4‐mediated stress response as a therapeutic vulnerability in chordoma
We screened 5 chordoma cell lines against 100+ inhibitors of epigenetic and metabolic pathways and kinases and identified halofuginone, a tRNA synthetase inhibitor. Mechanistically halofuginone induces an integrated stress response, with eIF2alpha phosphorylation, activation of ATF4 and its target genes CHOP, ASNS, INHBE leading to cell death ...

Illumina-based transcriptome sequencing of mussel Mytilus coruscus mantle
Mollusk shell is an exoskeleton made up of organic mineral particles and its function is to protect the inner soft body from predators and environmental damage. Due to its superior mechanical properties, such as stiffness, fracture toughness, and tensile

Plecstatin inhibits hepatocellular carcinoma tumorigenesis and invasion through cytolinker plectin
The ruthenium‐based metallodrug plecstatin exerts its anticancer effect in hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) primarily through selective targeting of plectin. By disrupting plectin‐mediated cytoskeletal organization, plecstatin inhibits anchorage‐dependent growth, cell polarization, and tumor cell dissemination.

stilPCR increases the effective sequencing length of Illumina targeted next-generation sequencing.
Identifying pathogens, resistance-conferring mutations, and strain types through targeted amplicon sequencing is an important tool. However, due to the limitations of short read sequencing, many applications require the division of limited clinical ...

nCoV-2019 sequencing protocol for illumina v1 [PDF]
This protocol is folked from "ARTIC amplicon sequencing protocol for MinION for nCoV-2019" by Josh Quick to adapt it to illumina sequencers. Because the PCR products are fragmented and ligated with adapters, this protocol is not restricted to 250 PE mode of MiSeq.

Therapeutic strategies for MMAE‐resistant bladder cancer through DPP4 inhibition
We established monomethyl auristatin E (MMAE)‐resistant bladder cancer (BC) cell lines by exposure to progressively increasing concentrations of MMAE in vitro. RNA sequencing showed DPP4 expression was increased in MMAE‐resistant BC cells. Both si‐DPP4 and the DPP4 inhibitor sitagliptin suppressed the viability of MMAE‐resistant BC cells.
