In Vitro Assessment of Pesticides Toxicity and Data Correlation with Pesticides Physicochemical Properties for Prediction of Toxicity in Gastrointestinal and Skin Contact Exposure

open access: yesToxics, 2022
In this work, three pesticides of different physicochemical properties, namely, glyphosate (herbicide), imidacloprid (insecticide) and imazalil (fungicide), were selected to assess their cytotoxicity against distinct cell models (Caco-2, HepG2, A431 ...

Carbendazim Impends Hepatic Necrosis when Combined with Imazalil or Cypermethrin [PDF]

open access: yesBasic & Clinical Pharmacology & Toxicology, 2011
Abstract:  Imazalil, cypermethrin and carbendazim are detected in plants for human nutrition. To explore whether their combinations, applied orally in low doses, would induce changes in metabolic patterns and hepatotoxicity, a subchronic in vivo experiment was conducted.

Metabolomics‐based study of the preservation mechanism of a tea saponin–cinnamaldehyde nanoemulsion applied to Xinyu tangerines

open access: yesJournal of the Science of Food and Agriculture, EarlyView.
Abstract Background The Xinyu tangerine is a geographical indication agricultural product from Jiangxi province, China. During postharvest storage, nutrient loss and pathogen‐induced decay reduce fruit quality. The selection of appropriate preservatives is therefore important for maintaining postharvest quality.

Cytogenotoxic Effects of Fluopyram in Allium cepa Root Cells Involving Microtubule Disruption

open access: yesEnvironmental Toxicology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Fluopyram is a next‐generation fungicide widely used in agriculture; however, its persistence in soils and mobility toward aquatic systems have raised concerns regarding potential ecotoxicological risks. This study evaluated the cytogenotoxic effects of a commercial fluopyram‐based pesticide formulation on Allium cepa root meristem cells ...

Exploring the Antifungal Potential of the Brown Macroalga Hormophysa triquetra: Morphological Disruptions and Structural Changes in Plant Pathogens

open access: yesEnvironmental Microbiology Reports, Volume 18, Issue 3, June 2026.
Extracts of Hormophysa triquetra showed antifungal activity with marked hyphal deformities in Fusarium oxysporum and Alternaria alternata. Light microscopy and SEM confirmed structural alterations despite unchanged radial growth. Cucumber assays validated reduced disease incidence, linked to fatty‐acid–rich metabolites detected by GC–MS.
