Transition metal complexes of bis(imidazol-2-yl) derivatives of dipeptides

Dalton Trans., 2003
Copper(II), nickel(II) and zinc(II) complexes of the dipeptides containing chelating bis(imidazolyl) agents at the C-termini (GlyLeu-BIMA, LeuGly-BIMA, PheGly-BIMA and AlaPro-BIMA; BIMA = bis(imidazol-2-yl)-methylamine) were studied by potentiometric, UV-VIS, EPR and MALDI-MS techniques.

CHAPTER 11. Antioxidant Activity of Imidazole Dipeptides

2015
In this chapter we describe the antioxidant activity of imidazole dipeptides and some selected derivatives in various experimental systems, including liposomes, lipids, tissues and protein models. Structures containing an imidazole ring, mainly carnosine-related compounds, are well-known antioxidants.

The monomeric and dimeric copper(II) complexes containing imidazole and dipeptides

Inorganica Chimica Acta, 1981
Abstract The mixed ligand copper(II) complexes with imidazole and glycylglycine or glycyl-β-alanine were prepared in neutral and basic solutions. The copper(II) complexes obtained in neutral solutions were mononuclear complexes, while those in basic solutions were binuclear complexes bridged by imidazolate. In the cases of the binuclear complexes, it

Determination Of Therapeutic Imidazole Dipeptides In Meat By Microchip Electrophoresis

2019
Miniaturization of the capillary electrophoresis (CE) devices, enables fast and low-cost analysis with low sample consumption. In this study we introduced a home–made compact and rugged low–cost microchip electrophoresis (MCE) instrument with high throughput.

Imidazole dipeptides in experimental alcohol-induced myopathy.

Alcohol and alcoholism (Oxford, Oxfordshire), 1993
Rats were chronically fed a nutritionally complete liquid diet containing 35% of total calories as either ethanol, or (for the controls) an isocaloric amount of glucose. After 6 weeks of treatment, the feeding regime induced skeletal muscle myopathy as characterised by reductions in muscle weight and RNA content.

2-Oxo-imidazole-containing dipeptides resist degradation by carnosinase 1

Free Radical Biology and Medicine
Imidazole-containing dipeptides (IDPs), such as carnosine and anserine, are recognized for their diverse biological functions, particularly their antioxidant properties. However, the enzymatic degradation of carnosine by human serum carnosinase 1 (CN1) limits its bioavailability.

Synthesis and spectroscopic studies of dimeric copper(II) complexes containing imidazoles and dipeptides

Polyhedron, 1984
Abstract Six dimeric copper(II) complexes of the type Na[Cu2(D)(L)], where D = glycylglycinate dianion, and HL = imidazole and 2-methylimidazole; D = glycyl-L-tyrosinate dianion, HL = imidazole and benzimidazole; D = glycyl-L-phenylalaninate dianion, and HL = imidazole; and D = glycyl-L-tryptophenate dianion, and HL = benzimidazole, have been ...

Electroanalytical characterization and determination of imidazole dipeptides carnosine and anserine

2014
Acid-base properties od imidazole dipeptides - carnosine and anserine were studied. Carnosine and anserine were determinated and characterized, single and in binary mixtures, by direct potentiometric titrations using aqueous and nonaqueous solvents. Before direct potentiometric titrations, carnosine and anserine solutions should be pH adjusted to 3.00.
