Recent advances in the use of chiral aldimines in asymmetric synthesis [PDF]

open access: yes, 2016
Chiral N-(tert-butyl)sulfinyl aldimines easily prepared from commercially available compounds have been used as starting materials for the following processes: (i) hydrogen transfer, (ii) addition of zincates, (iii) In-promoted allylation, and (iv ...

Chemical modeling for predicting the abundances of certain aldimines and amines in hot cores

open access: yes, 2021
We consider six isomeric groups (CH3N, CH5N, C2H5N, C2H7N, C3H7N and C3H9N) to review the presence of amines and aldimines within the interstellar medium (ISM). Each of these groups contains at least one aldimine or amine.

An In Situ Embedded B‐MOF Sponge With Shape‐Memory for All‐in‐One Diabetic Wound Therapy

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
A smart shape‐memory sponge dressing (P1A3@B‐MOF) is developed for accelerated diabetic wound healing. It achieves pH‐responsive corelease of Zn2+ and salvianolic acid B, synergistically providing antibacterial action, repolarizing macrophages to the M2 phenotype, and promoting angiogenesis.

Secondary aerosol formation from atmospheric reactions of aliphatic amines [PDF]

open access: yes, 2007
Although aliphatic amines have been detected in both urban and rural atmospheric aerosols, little is known about the chemistry leading to particle formation or the potential aerosol yields from reactions of gas-phase amines.

Pioneering the Future: Principles, Advances, and Challenges in Organic Electrodes for Aqueous Ammonium‐Ion Batteries

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, Volume 37, Issue 13, April 2, 2025.
Leveraging the numerous advantages of ammonium‐ion (NH₄⁺)—including cost‐effectiveness, low corrosiveness, preferential orientation, and rapid diffusion kinetics—aqueous NH₄⁺ batteries (AAIBs) have gained significant attention. This review highlights and evaluates the progress of AAIBs utilizing organic electrode materials such as small molecules ...

The aza-Morita-Baylis-Hillman reaction of electronically and sterically deactivated substrates. [PDF]

open access: yes, 2012
The aza-Morita–Baylis–Hillman (azaMBH) reaction has been studied for electronically and sterically deactivated Michael acceptors. It is found that electronically deactivated systems can be converted with electron-rich phosphanes and pyridines as ...

Unravelling the Atomic Structure of a Metal‐Covalent Organic Framework Assembled from Ruthenium Metalloligands

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, Volume 37, Issue 13, April 2, 2025.
Metal‐covalent organic frameworks (MCOFs) are novel porous materials that exhibit the advantages of covalent and metal‐organic frameworks. However, it is extremely difficult to resolve their atomic structure and better understand their structure‐properties relation. This work utilizes a synergistic combination of advanced microscopy, spectroscopic, and

Stereoselective cycloaddition of 1-glucosyl-1,3-butadienes with tert-butyl 2H-azirine-3-carboxylate, glyoxylates and imines [PDF]

open access: yes, 2003
Glucosyl dienes 1 have been reacted with the achiral 2H-azirine 4 and with glyoxylates, forming fused structures of type 5 and disaccharide-like compounds 7 with good to excellent selectivity.

Bacteria‐Responsive Nanostructured Drug Delivery Systems for Targeted Antimicrobial Therapy

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Bacteria‐responsive nanocarriers are designed to release antimicrobials only in the presence of infection‐specific cues. This selective activation ensures drug release precisely at the site of infection, avoiding premature or indiscriminate release, and enhancing efficacy.
