The dynamics of Sert, Htr4a, and Bdnf genes expression in the blood of rats under chronic stress exposure

open access: yesУчёные записки Казанского университета: Серия Естественные науки, 2022
In this article, we discuss the expression levels of Sert, Htr4a, and Bdnf genes in the blood of Wistar rats exposed to the following types of chronic stresses for 270 days: swimming with a load and immobilization, as well as the combination of these two

Time-Course Changes of Steroidogenic Gene Expression and Steroidogenesis of Rat Leydig Cells after Acute Immobilization Stress

open access: yesInternational Journal of Molecular Sciences, 2014
Leydig cells secrete testosterone, which is essential for male fertility and reproductive health. Stress increases the secretion of glucocorticoid (corticosterone, CORT; in rats), which decreases circulating testosterone levels in part through a direct ...

MORPHOMETRIC STUDY OF HIPPOCAMPAL NEURONS IN CHRONIC IMMOBILIZATION STRESS [PDF]

open access: yesResearch Result. MEDICINE AND PHARMACY SERIES, 2015
Hippocampus ensures the implementation of the memory mechanisms, behavioral reactions, including avoidance of stress, aversive effects etc. The study was performed on the material of 20 male Wistar rats weighing 220-250 g, 10 of which were intact control group and 10 were experimental group, in which chronic immobilization stress was simulated.

NanoMOF‐Based Multilevel Anti‐Counterfeiting by a Combination of Visible and Invisible Photoluminescence and Conductivity

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This study presents novel anti‐counterfeiting tags with multilevel security features that utilize additional disguise features. They combine luminescent nanosized Ln‐MOFs with conductive polymers to multifunctional mixed‐matrix membranes and powder composites. The materials exhibit visible/NIR emission and matrix‐based conductivity even as black bodies.

Unlocking Ultra‐Long Cycle Stability of Li Metal Electrode by Separators Modified by Porous Red Phosphorus Nanosheets

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Coating the standard polypropylene separator with a porous red phosphorous nanosheet greatly improves cycling performance in Li electrode cells. The phosphorus‐based surface chemistry deactivates electrolyte solvent decomposition and enhances the cleavage of F‐containing salt, resulting in an inorganic‐dominated electrolyte interphase (SEI) composition

Antioxidant Effects of Some Drugs on Immobilization Stress Combined with Cold Restraint Stress [PDF]

open access: yesMolecules, 2009
The aim of this work was to investigate the effect on antioxidant potential of some commonly used drugs (morphine, tramadol, bromocriptine, haloperidol and azithromycin) on immobilization stress (IS) combined with cold restraint stress (CRS) in the rat.
