Characterizing the salivary RNA landscape to identify potential diagnostic, prognostic, and follow‐up biomarkers for breast cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This study explores salivary RNA for breast cancer (BC) diagnosis, prognosis, and follow‐up. High‐throughput RNA sequencing identified distinct salivary RNA signatures, including novel transcripts, that differentiate BC from healthy controls, characterize histological and molecular subtypes, and indicate lymph node involvement.

Immune Cell Infiltrates in Atypical Teratoid/Rhabdoid Tumors [PDF]

open access: yesCanadian Journal of Neurological Sciences / Journal Canadien des Sciences Neurologiques, 2012
Objective:Atypical teratoid/rhabdoid tumor (AT/RT) is a highly malignant tumor of the central nervous system. Its pathogenesis remains unknown. Like glioblastomas, AT/RTs contain brain cancer stem cells (CSCs) that suppress the immunity of patients and are resistant to conventional chemotherapy and radiation therapy. Considerable infiltration of immune

ncRNA-Mediated High Expression of LPCAT1 Correlates with Poor Prognosis and Tumor Immune Infiltration of Liver Hepatocellular Carcinoma

open access: yesJournal of Immunology Research, 2022
Purpose. To investigate the expression of LPCAT1 in liver hepatocellular carcinoma (LIHC) and its relationship with prognosis and immune infiltration and predict its upstream nonencoding RNAs (ncRNAs). Method.

Shh production and Gli signaling is activated in vivo in lung, enhancing the Th2 response during a murine model of allergic asthma [PDF]

open access: yes, 2017
The pathophysiology of allergic asthma is driven by T-helper 2 (Th2) immune responses following aeroallergen inhalation. The mechanisms that initiate, potentiate and regulate airways allergy are incompletely characterized.

Pan-Cancer and Single-Cell Analysis Reveals CENPL as a Cancer Prognosis and Immune Infiltration-Related Biomarker

open access: yesFrontiers in Immunology, 2022
Background Centromere protein L (CENPL) is an important member of the centromere protein (CENP) family. However, the correlation between CENPL expression and cancer development and immune infiltration has rarely been studied. Here, we studied the role of

Reduced vascular leakage correlates with breast carcinoma T regulatory cell infiltration but not with metastatic propensity

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
A mouse model for vascular normalization and a human breast cancer cohort were studied to understand the relationship between vascular leakage and tumor immune suppression. For this, endothelial and immune cell RNAseq, staining for vascular function, and immune cell profiling were employed.

Integrated analysis of single-cell and bulk RNA-seq reveals MAGEA3/6-associated immune subtypes and key immune genes in gastric cancer.

open access: yesPLoS ONE
The immune microenvironment is critical in gastric cancer (GC), yet epithelial-specific genes linked to immune infiltration remain poorly defined.

A novel anoikis-related prognostic signature associated with prognosis and immune infiltration landscape in clear cell renal cell carcinoma

open access: yesFrontiers in Genetics, 2022
Background: Clear cell renal cell carcinoma (ccRCC) is the most common histological subtype of renal cell carcinoma (RCC). Anoikis plays an essential function in tumourigenesis, whereas the role of anoikis in ccRCC remains unclear.
