Cellular Mechanism and Key Insights in Allergen Immunotherapy for Allergic Rhinitis

open access: yesWorld Journal of Otorhinolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Allergic rhinitis (AR) arises from immune responses mediated by immunoglobulin E (IgE) to inhaled allergens, representing one of the most prevalent chronic conditions worldwide. Although AR may not be a serious ailment, it holds clinical relevance as it underpins numerous complications, serves as a major risk factor for suboptimal asthma ...

Immunoglobulin Isotype Deficiency Together with Allergic Diseases

open access: yesAsthma Allergy Immunology, 2016
Introduction: Frequent infection is located in the first place among the reasons for the application polyclinic in infancy and pre-school. The aim of this study is to evaluate the insidence of allergic disease in patients who apply to our allergy-immunology clinic for frequent infectious diseases and diagnosed with immunoglobulin isotype deficiency.

Peanut Component‐Specific IgE and IgG4 Are Modulated by Sublingual Immunotherapy and Are Associated With Remission in 1–4‐Year‐Old Children

open access: yesAllergy, EarlyView.
This study presents a post hoc analysis of longitudinal changes in peanut component‐specific IgE and IgG4 in children aged 1–4 years undergoing peanut SLIT, aiming to uncover immune mechanisms and potential biomarkers of remission. Peanut SLIT reduced IgE and increased IgG4 responses to Ara h 1, Ara h 2, Ara h 3, and Ara h 6.

B-Cell Repertoire of Children With Atopic Dermatitis Exhibits Altered IgE Maturation Associated With Allergic Food Sensitization. [PDF]

open access: yesAllergy
IgH repertoire sequencing of a large atopic dermatitis cohort reveal reduced IgE somatic hypermutation and increased IgE diversity associated with food allergen sensitization. Presence of a dog during the first year of life is associated with increased IgE somatic hypermutation, possibly countering the effect of food sensitization.

Allergic Sensitization to Inhalant Allergens in the Upper Respiratory Tract—the B Cell Side

open access: yesAllergy, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Allergic diseases are on the rise worldwide, driven by respiratory epithelial barrier dysfunction that promotes sensitization to inhalant allergens such as pollen, dust mites, pet dander, and fungal spores. These antigens trigger IgE‐mediated immune responses that lead to diseases such as allergic rhinitis (AR) and asthma.

Novel Bispecific Engagers Targeting the CεmX Domain of mIgE‐Expressing Cells

open access: yesAllergy, EarlyView.
We developed bispecific TCE & NKCE targeting the CεmX domain of mIgE to eliminate IgE‐producing cells. Both constructs demonstrated potent, specific, dose‐dependent cytotoxicity and selective immune activation in vitro. These results highlight their promise as off‐the‐shelf, potentially curative therapeutics for IgE‐associated allergic diseases ...

Tau‐targeting active immunotherapy slows progression and reduces pathology in mouse models of tauopathy

open access: yesBrain Pathology, EarlyView.
The efficacy of the novel anti‐tau active immunotherapy, p5555kb, was tested using two mouse models of tau pathology. p5555kb inoculation increased the survival rate and reduced tau pathology in tau‐overexpressing P301L mice and decreased tau seeding in the brains of C57BL/6 mice injected with human‐purified Alzheimer's disease tau.
