Targeting Tex10 Overcomes Oxaliplatin Resistance by Competitively Disrupting the Non‐Canonical BAF Complex in Colorectal Cancer

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study reveals that Tex10 drives oxaliplatin resistance in colorectal cancer by competitively binding BRD9 to disrupt the ncBAF complex, thereby suppressing AMBRA1 transcription and ULK1‐mediated autophagy. Gemcitabine is identified as a direct Tex10 inhibitor that restores autophagy and overcomes resistance.

Blinatumomab, a bispecific B-cell and T-cell engaging antibody, in the treatment of B-cell malignancies

open access: yesHuman Vaccines & Immunotherapeutics, 2019
Blinatumomab (Blincyto, Amgen), a bi-specific antibody, is a first-in-class, targeted immunotherapy agent for treatment of B-cell malignancies with a novel mechanism of action which involves in-vivo engagement of the patient’s T cells with CD19 ...

Tumor‐Derived Exosomal circAP2B1 Induces M2 Macrophage Polarization by Enhancing Mitochondrial Homeostasis to Promote Esophageal Squamous Cell Carcinoma Progression

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
ESCC‐derived exosomal circAP2B1 promotes tumor progression by reprogramming mitochondrial metabolism via the ESRRA/KPNA1/MFN2 axis to induce M2 polarization of macrophages. ABSTRACT Esophageal squamous cell carcinoma (ESCC) remodels the immunosuppressive tumor microenvironment via exosome‐mediated intercellular communication.

Non-conventional expression systems for the production of vaccine proteins and immunotherapeutic molecules

open access: yesHuman Vaccines & Immunotherapeutics, 2017
The increasing demand for recombinant vaccine antigens or immunotherapeutic molecules calls into question the universality of current protein expression systems. Vaccine production can require relatively low amounts of expressed materials, but represents

Crosstalk Between CTSB+ Glioblastoma Cells and S100A10+ Macrophages: A Self‐Reinforcing Circuit Promotes Immune Evasion and Limits Response to Immunotherapy

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
In glioblastoma, M2‐polarized macrophages secrete IL‐6, which activates STAT3 signaling in tumor cells to upregulate CTSB. Tumor‐derived CTSB binds the C‐terminus of macrophage S100A10, reinforcing M2 polarization and further IL‐6 secretion, thereby establishing a feedforward IL‐6/STAT3/CTSB/S100A10 loop. This cascade drives tumor growth, invasion, and

Redirecting Monocyte Differentiation With Engineered Extracellular Vesicles for Glioma Immunotherapy

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A dual‐targeting engineered extracellular vesicles (M1‐CS‐EVs) platform is developed to redirect monocytes differentiation into anti‐tumor macrophages for glioma immunotherapy. This nanoplatform combines CAR‐mediated tumor recognition with localized CD47 blockade, leading to synergistic immune activation and potent suppression of tumor progression in ...

A second-generation, self-amplifying COVID-19 Vaccine: World’s first approval and distribution in the Japanese market with vaccine hesitancy

open access: yesHuman Vaccines & Immunotherapeutics
The mRNA vaccine is a milestone in immunotherapeutics, as symbolized by the 2023 Nobel Prize for Physiology or Medicine awarded to Drs. Karikó and Weissman. Whereas the conventional, “first-generation” mRNA vaccine was globally distributed to hundreds of
