2016Since the banning of antibiotics as animal growth promoter in the European Union, the demand for alternative feed additives has been increasing in order to improve feed efficiency and animal performance. Polyphenols, due to their antimicrobial properties, are promising candidates that could be used as alternative feed additives for ruminants.
