Menadione-?-cyclodextrin inclusion complex
Journal of Inclusion Phenomena, 1985A stable, nonsublimable γ-cyclodextrin inclusion complex of menadione (Vitamin K3) of 11.7% menadione content (molar ratio 1:1) was prepared in solution, in suspension, and by ‘kneading’. The physicalchemical properties of the complex formed were studied by X-ray diffraction, by thermal analysis (DTG, TG, DSC, TEA), and by chiroptical studies.

One of the most important characteristics of cyclodextrins is the formation of inclusion complexes with various compounds (guests), in which guest compounds are included in the cavity of cyclodextrins (host) [20, 65–67]. Guest compounds range from polar reagents such as acids, amines, small ions such as ClO 4 - , SCN-, and halogen anions [68] to highly

Fendiline-?-Cyclodextrin inclusion complex
Journal of Inclusion Phenomena, 1985Fendiline (N-[1-phenylethyl]-3,3-diphenylpropylamine hydrochloride, trade name: Sensit) is a β-receptor blocker and a Ca antagonist. It is a viscous oil and even its crystalline hydrochloride is a very hydrophobic and sparingly soluble compound in water.β-Cyclodextrin complexes fendiline base in a molar ratio of 2∶1.

Cyclodextrin Inclusion Complexes
1988Inclusion complexes are molecular compounds having the characteristic structure of an adduct, in which one compound (host molecule) spatially encloses another. The enclosed compound (guest molecule) is situated in the cavity of the host without significantly affecting the host framework structure. Apart from a slight deformation, it is a characteristic

Bioactive Permethrin/β-Cyclodextrin Inclusion Complex
The Journal of Physical Chemistry B, 2006Permethrin is popularly used in a variety of therapeutic areas. However, the poor water solubility of permethrin seriously limits its wider clinical applications. The present study demonstrates that solubility of permethrin in aqueous solution can considerably increase in the presence of beta-cyclodextrin (beta-CD).

Cyclodextrin inclusion complexation
1989The type of bonded phase for HPLC based on the class of oligosaccharides known as cyclodextrins employs inclusion complexing to achieve chiral selectivity. How inclusion complexing accomplishes this is best understood by examining the physical structure of cyclodextrins.

Optical resolution by inclusion complex formation
Journal of Inclusion Phenomena, 1984Novel optical resolutions of guest compounds by inclusion complex formation with optically active host compound are reviewed. Tertiary acetylenic alcohols, cyanohydrins, and secondary alcohols were resolved by complexation with alkaloids such as brucine or sparteine.

Inclusion complexes of coumarin in cucurbiturils
Organic & Biomolecular Chemistry, 2009Coumarin was found to form stable inclusion complexes with cucurbiturils. In the presence of cucurbit[7]uril (CB[7]), 1 : 1 inclusion complexes were observed in aqueous solution, as monitored by (1)H NMR and UV-visible absorption spectroscopies, and further supported by ab initio calculations, whereas with cucurbit[8]uril (CB[8]) a solid phase 1 : 2 ...

Inclusive rigour for complexity
Journal of Development Effectiveness, 2015Rigour can be reductionist or inclusive. To learn about and understand conditions of complexity, emergence, nonlinearity and unpredictability, the inclusive rigour of mixed methods has been a step in the right direction. From analysis of mixed methods and participatory approaches and methods, this article postulates canons for inclusive rigour for ...
