Residual Chemical Shift Anisotropies in the Structure Determination of Small Molecules
Plasma neutrophil elastase(ELANE) was markedly elevated in patients with alcohol use disorder, indicating a dysregulated protease‐antiprotease inflammatory balance characterised by decreased SERPINA3. ELANE showed excellent diagnostic specificity(AUC = 0.8683), supporting its potential utility as a neuroinflammatory biomarker for AUD.

Synthesis and Anti-Tuberculosis Activity of the Marine Natural Product Caulerpin and Its Analogues
Caulerpin (1a), a bis-indole alkaloid from the marine algal Caulerpa sp., was synthesized in three reaction steps with an overall yield of 11%. The caulerpin analogues (1b–1g) were prepared using the same synthetic pathway with overall yields between 3%

Analysis of alkaloids (indole alkaloids, isoquinoline alkaloids, tropane alkaloids)
Alkaloids are a large cluster of molecules found in Mother Nature all over the world. They are all secondary compounds and collection of miscellaneous elements and biomolecules, derived from amino acids or from transamination. This diverse chemical group is categorized, based on the amino acids that deliver their nitrogen atom and part of their ...

The ketogenic diet alters microbiome‐metabolome profiles to improve West syndrome therapy
The ketogenic diet alleviates West syndrome by reshaping gut microbiota (increasing Bacteroides, Parabacteroides, and reducing Escherichia and Bifidobacterium), and modulating metabolites—including anticonvulsant lipids (e.g., capric acid), suppressed harmful lipids (e.g., 2‐methylbutyroylcarnitine), and amino acids and analogs (e.g., 3‐sulfinoalanine)—

Indole Alkaloids of Ailanthus altissima
Ailanthus altissima (Mill.) Swingle, Syn. A. glandulosa Desf. (Simaroubaceae), is a large tree indigenous to China. It is known as the “Tree of Heaven” and has been the subject of several chemical studies. The presence of quassinoid-type bitter principles (1-6), flavonols (7,8), and 2,6-dimethoxy-p-benzoquinone (9,10) has been reported in earlier ...

Plants, like humans, have a microbiome that helps them grow, defend themselves against pathogens, acquire nutrients, and protect themselves against environmental stresses. The microbiome of tomatoes, a staple crop grown worldwide, could be utilized not only to reduce fertilizer and pesticide applications, but also to clean up harmful pollutants ...
