Meta‐Rod Mechanical Metamaterials With Programmable Reconfiguration

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Existing mechanical metamaterials achieve programmable large deformations in planar square or cubic configurations, restricted by required complex boundary conditions. This research proposes a 1D metamaterial, Meta‐rod, with linear, bending, twisting, area, and volume deformation modes.

Position control of an industrial robot using an optical measurement system for machining purposes [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
A series of mechanical properties and disturbances limit the accuracy achievable in robotic applications. External control of the end effector position is commonly known as being an appropriate mean to increase accuracy.

Sustainable Catalyst‐Free PLG Networks: Recyclability, Biodegradability, and Functional Performance

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A catalyst‐additive free covalent adaptable network is developed from star‐shaped poly(lactide‐co‐glycolide) cross‐linked with pyromellitic dianhydride, enabling internal carboxylic acid‐driven transesterification. The resulting biodegradable network exhibits mechanical robustness (Young's modulus ≈1.6 GPa), complete recyclability, rapid biodegradation

Industrial Robot Programming. [PDF]

open access: yes, 1996
Industrial robots play a key role in manufacturing systems. Robots are distinguished from other types of machinery mainly on the basis of their programmability and ability to be adaptable to different tasks. The use of computer control to achieve desired flexibility implies that software issues for embedded control systems are central for the ...

Temperature‐Modulated Threshold Response in a Volatile Memristor: Toward a Biomimetic Polymodal Nociceptive System

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This study demonstrates an artificial polymodal nociceptor whose firing threshold is actively modulated by temperature. A volatile TiN/TiOx/ZnO/TiOx/ITO memristor shows interfacial ion–driven resistive switching and membrane‐potential‐like dynamics, enabling temperature‐dependent nociceptive behavior.

Statistically Resolving Thickness‐Dependent Electrical Characteristics in Multilayer‐MoS2 Transistors

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A large number of MoS2 flakes were screened to obtain high‐quality flakes based on optical intensities in R, G, and B channel images. The flakes were classified from Level 1 to 6 based on optical intensities in the R, G, and B channel images. Low‐quality flake exhibited wrinkled, folded, or overlapped features, while high‐quality displayed a neat ...
