Ultrasmall High‐Entropy Materials: Nanoscale Effects, Synthesis, and Mechanistic Insights

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This review article focuses on sub‐10 nm high‐entropy materials that combine nanoscale design with complex compositions for next‐generation applications. ABSTRACT Ultrasmall high‐entropy nanomaterials (USHENMs, <10 nm) merge multicomponent chemistry with size‐dependent effects, forming a distinct class of materials with unprecedented properties.

Portable Breathing Monitoring With Phase‐Resolved Airflow Dynamics Enabled by a Dual‐Response Flexible PZT Sensor

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
A portable respiratory monitoring device based on a flexible PZT sensor captures pressure‐ and temperature‐related airflow responses in a single waveform. Polarity‐opposed piezoelectric and pyroelectric components generate a narrow transient spike and a broad quasi‐steady peak during both inhalation and exhalation. This dual‐component structure enables

Safe navigation for vehicles [PDF]

open access: yes, 2009
La navigation par satellite prend un virage très important ces dernières années, d'une part par l'arrivée imminente du système Européen GALILEO qui viendra compléter le GPS Américain, mais aussi et surtout par le succès grand public qu'il connaît aujourd'

Atomic Layer Deposition Processes: Versatile Platforms for Engineering ZnO‐Chitosan Biointerfaces

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
Vapour phase metalation (VPM), multiplied pulsed vapour phase infiltration (MPI), and O2 plasma‑enhanced atomic layer deposition (PEALD) tailor Zn–chitosan (Zn‑CS) films. PEALD improves wettability and biocompatibility. MPI enhances semiconductor behavior. Antiseptic selectivity: VPM → E. coli; MPI → H. pylori.

Detection of variance changes and mean value jumps in measurement noise for multipath mitigation in urban navigation [PDF]

open access: yes, 2008
This paper studies an urban navigation filter for land vehicles. Typical urban-canyon phenomena as multipath and GPS outages seriously degrade positioning performance.

Discrete nonlinear observers for inertial navigation [PDF]

open access: yesSystems & Control Letters, 2005
We derive an exact deterministic nonlinear observer to compute the continuous state of an inertial navigation system based on partial discrete measurements, the so-called strapdown problem. Nonlinear contraction is used as the main analysis tool, and the hierarchical structure of the system physics is sytematically exploited.

Ferroelectric Quantum Dots for Retinomorphic In‐Sensor Computing

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
This work has provided a protocol for fabricating retinomorphic phototransistors by integrating ferroelectric ligands with quantum dots. The resulting device combines ferroelectricity, optical responsiveness, and low‐power operation to enable adaptive signal amplification and high recognition accuracy under low‐light conditions, while supporting ...
