Redefining Therapies for Drug‐Resistant Tuberculosis: Synergistic Effects of Antimicrobial Peptides, Nanotechnology, and Computational Design

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
Antimicrobial peptide (AMP)‐loaded nanocarriers provide a multifunctional strategy to combat drug‐resistant Mycobacterium tuberculosis. By enhancing intracellular delivery, bypassing efflux pumps, and disrupting bacterial membranes, this platform restores phagolysosome fusion and macrophage function.

Opinion: Gavage Administration of MXene as a Route‐Specific Alternative to Intravenous Injection into the Bloodstream of Laboratory Animals for Reducing Systemic Nanotoxicity Risks in Immunosuppression and Post‐Transplantation Models with Bile Acid Modification

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
Recent studies reported immunosuppressive properties of specific MXene nanomaterials. Their intravenous injection into the bloodstream of laboratory animals has been a common delivery method to suppress systemic inflammation and prevent transplant rejection.

Inertial Navigation System Data Filtering Prior to GPS/INS Integration

open access: yesJournal of Navigation, 2009
In the integration of Global Positioning System (GPS) and Inertial Navigation System (INS), the commonly used Kalman filter provides satisfactory results if both sources of information are continuously available. However, GPS outages provoke a fast degradation of precision, especially in low dynamic trajectories such as a mobile platform device held by

Ferroelectric Quantum Dots for Retinomorphic In‐Sensor Computing

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
This work has provided a protocol for fabricating retinomorphic phototransistors by integrating ferroelectric ligands with quantum dots. The resulting device combines ferroelectricity, optical responsiveness, and low‐power operation to enable adaptive signal amplification and high recognition accuracy under low‐light conditions, while supporting ...

Tuning of the Wavelet Filters for the IMU Data Based on the PDC Method and the GPS Solution in a Bi-Dimensional Navigation Application [PDF]

open access: yesINCAS Bulletin, 2019
The degradation of navigation accuracy and integrity of GPS in the presence of radio frequency interference, hostile jamming and high dynamical situations, when the satellite signals may get lost due to signal blockage, led to the development of MEMS-INS/

Intelligent Acousto‐Electrical Metamaterials (IAM) for Sound Source Detection

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Our proposed metamaterial concept enables sound source detection using a single material, in contrast to conventional arrays that require dozens or even hundreds of transducers. We show that the coupled acoustic–vibrational–electrical responses in piezoelectric metamaterials give rise to topology‐governed charge transport, producing distinct voltage ...

Porous Hybrid Soft Actuators From Liquid Crystal Networks and Lyotropic Chromonic Liquid Crystal Templated Hydrogels

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
The graphic illustrates the design of a hybrid bilayer composed of a liquid crystal hydrogel (LCH) and a liquid crystal network (LCN). The figure highlights the magnetic alignment of the chromonic hydrogel and the thermal‐responsive actuation of the LCN along with the LCH when both layers are aligned or misaligned, enabling programmable, light‐driven ...
