Independent Searching During One-Shot Information Literacy Instruction Sessions: Is It
Objective – To test the assumption that giving students time to researchindependently during a one-shot information literacy instruction (ILI) session, combined with scaffolding, is an effective pedagogical practice and a good use ofclass time. Methods ...

Mechanisms of parasite‐mediated disruption of brain vessels
Parasites can affect the blood vessels of the brain, often causing serious neurological problems. This review explains how different parasites interact with and disrupt these vessels, what this means for brain health, and why these processes matter. Understanding these mechanisms may help us develop better ways to prevent or treat brain infections in ...

Brane Calculi Systems: A Static Preview of their Possible Behaviour
We improve the precision of a previous Control Flow Analysis for Brane Calculi, by adding information on the context and introducing causality information on the membranes.

Information Need and Information Seeking Behaviour
Information need is one of the cognitive needs of humankind. Information need causes information seeking behaviour and these concepts complement each other. Information need and information seeking behaviour are effected by many factors. It is necessary to know these factors in establishing the effective information centers and services.

Time after time – circadian clocks through the lens of oscillator theory
Oscillator theory bridges physics and circadian biology. Damped oscillators require external drivers, while limit cycles emerge from delayed feedback and nonlinearities. Coupling enables tissue‐level coherence, and entrainment aligns internal clocks with environmental cues.

From dry yarns to complex 3D woven fabrics: a unified simulation methodology for deformation mechanics of textiles in tension, shear and draping [PDF]
Common methods of modelling the behaviour of fibrous materials, such as yarns and (woven) fabrics, is to treat them as continuous solids. The fibrous behaviour is then taken into account by appropriate constitutive laws.

Uncertainty and health information-seeking behaviour
This conceptual analysis explored the influence of “uncertainty” on the health information-seeking behaviour. The concepts of uncertainty in illness and uncertainty orientation were analyzed within two theoretical frameworks applying Wilson’s 1method.
