A Self-Alignment Method of MEMS Biaxial Rotation Modulation Strapdown Compass for Marine Applications

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2019
Self-alignment of strapdown inertial navigation systems incorporating micro-electro-mechanical systems (MSINS) is a great challenge for marine applications. In this paper, a self-alignment method for a rotating MEMS strapdown compass is proposed with the

Deciphering transcriptional plasticity in pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma reveals alterations in sensory neuron innervation

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Pancreatic sensory neurons innervating healthy and PDAC tissue were retrogradely labeled and profiled by single‐cell RNA sequencing. Tumor‐associated innervation showed a dominant neurofilament‐positive subtype, altered mitochondrial gene signatures, and reduced non‐peptidergic neurons.

CD47 promotes mitogen‐activated protein kinase and epithelial‐to‐mesenchymal transition molecular programs to drive prometastatic phenotypes in non‐small cell lung cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Beyond its role in immune evasion, this study identified that CD47 drives tumor‐intrinsic signaling in non‐small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). Transcriptomic profiling and functional studies revealed that CD47 regulates cell adhesion, migration, and metastasis through an ERK–EMT signaling axis.

An Improved Adaptive Kalman Filter for In-motion Initial Alignment of GPS-Aided SINS

open access: yes, 2021
In GPS-aided strap-down inertial navigation system, in-motion initial alignment is crucial and can be solved with a closed-loop scheme based on state estimation. With this method, the noise covariance matrices need to be estimated, which, however, can be

Fine Alignment Algorithm for UUVs With a Large Misalignment Angle

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2019
In order to overcome the problem that the conventional algorithms cannot be applied in the polar region, a polar initial alignment algorithm for Unmanned Underwater Vehicles (UUVs) with a large misalignment angle is proposed in this paper.

Alignment of IT projects with business strategy: An analysis of the interrelationships between the factors affecting IS alignment at strategic, tactical and operational levels

open access: yes, 2009
This thesis was submitted for the degree of Doctor of Philosophy and awarded by Brunel University.Despite numerous efforts to integrate business and IS strategic plans, organisations are not delivering the expected benefits from IS investment.

Initial Alignment for SINS Based on Pseudo-Earth Frame in Polar Regions

open access: yes, 2017
An accurate initial alignment must be required for inertial navigation system (INS). The performance of initial alignment directly affects the following navigation accuracy. However, the rapid convergence of meridians and the small horizontalcomponent of

Heterozygous loss‐of‐function alleles associate the conserved 3′‐5′ exoribonuclease EXOSC10 with hypersensitivity to the anticancer drug 5‐fluorouracil

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
EXOSC10, an essential nuclear RNA exosome‐associated 3′‐5′ exoribonuclease, is inhibited by the anticancer drug 5‐fluorouracil (5‐FU), and EXOSC10 depletion increases 5‐FU sensitivity. The colon‐cancer variant EXOSC10S402T, located in a proteolysis motif, is stable and nuclear but nonfunctional in vivo.
