SPADE: A Deep Learning Framework for Spatial Mapping and Quantitative Cell–Cell Interaction Inference

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
SPADE integrates spatial transcriptomics with single‐cell RNA sequencing by using cell–cell communications (CCC) as a guide for spatial mapping. It improves cell‐type localization, enhances sparse gene‐expression signals, and reveals CCC programs at single‐spot resolution.

In vitro Differentiation of Murine Innate Lymphoid Cells from Common Lymphoid Progenitor Cells

open access: yesBio-Protocol, 2016
Subtypes of innate lymphoid cells (ILC), defined based on their cytokine secretion profiles and transcription factor expression, are important for host protection from pathogens and maintaining tissue homeostasis.

The role of natural killer cells in adaptive immune responses [PDF]

open access: yes
Human natural killer (NK) cells have been shown to respond to numerous pathogenic stimuli, producing IFN-y as well as cytolytic effector molecules such as perforin and granzymes.

Inhibition of KDEL Receptors Remodels the Tumor Microenvironment for T Cell Independent Tumor Regression

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Inhibition of KDELR2 in a small fraction of tumor cells generates sustainable immunogenic cell death conditions within the tumor microenvironment. These conditions promote the regression of tumors in a T cell independent manner. During regression, macrophages prime T cells that subsequently provide systemic protection against recurrence. The potency of

RNA‐Binding Protein RBM25 Targets the mRNA Stability of GTPase Rab22a to Restrict Viral Entry and Infection

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study identifies RNA‐binding protein RBM25 as a broad‐spectrum antiviral factor acting independently of type I interferon. It blocks viral entry by suppressing GTPase Rab22a via the RC3H1‐mediated destabilization of Rab22a mRNA. Viral downregulation of RBM25 enhances GTPase Rab22a expression and viral entry, revealing an unreported post ...

Skin-derived dendritic cells acquire and degrade the scrapie agent following in vitro exposure

open access: yes, 2005
The accumulation of the scrapie agent in lymphoid tissues following inoculation via the skin is critical for efficient neuroinvasion, but how the agent is initially transported from the skin to the draining lymph node is not known. Langerhans cells (LCs)

Condition‐Associated Pattern Extraction and Recovery From Multi‐Condition Single‐Cell RNA‐seq Data With CAPER

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Decoupling biological signals from unwanted variation in multi‑condition single‑cell RNA sequencing data remains challenging. CAPER disentangles condition‑associated biological effects from sample heterogeneity through matrix factorization, producing interpretable latent factors and a batch‑corrected expression matrix.

Biomimetic Macrophage Cell Membrane‐Based Nanoparticles for Effective Treatment of Glioblastoma Through Boron Neutron Capture Therapy Combined With Immunotherapy

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Glioblastoma multiforme (GBM) remains largely incurable due to the blood‐brain barrier (BBB) and immunosuppressive microenvironment. While boron neutron capture therapy (BNCT) selectively eradicates tumor cells via 10B(n, α)‐7Li reactions, its clinical potential in GBM is unrealized because of the suboptimal pharmacokinetics of conventional ...

TOX sets the stage for innate lymphoid cells

open access: yes, 2015
Like T cells and B cells, innate lymphoid cells (ILCs) develop from common lymphoid progenitors, but how commitment to the ILC lineage is regulated has remained unclear.

An Integrative Strategy Delineates Modular Metabolic Remodeling and Potential Therapeutic Targets Across Metabolic Diseases

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
An integrative single‐cell atlas across multiple metabolic diseases reveals coordinated metabolic modules and disease‐shared versus disease‐specific pathway activities. By systematically comparing scoring strategies, a robust RankAve framework is established. Coupled with network analysis and drug‐target prediction, this resource uncovers cross‐disease
