[Interferon-gamma release assays in tuberculosis diagnostics]

open access: yesDer Internist, 2007
Two years ago, CE certified interferon-gamma release assays (IGRA) were launched on the German market (QuantiFERON-TB Gold In-Tube and T-SPOT-TB). Since this time, a multitude of studies have analysed these assays. Guidelines have been elaborated by national expert committees of England, the USA and Switzerland.

Serial interferon-gamma release assays during treatment of active tuberculosis in young adults

open access: yesBMC Infectious Diseases, 2010
Background The role of interferon-γ release assay (IGRA) in monitoring responses to anti-tuberculosis (TB) treatment is not clear. We evaluated the results of the QuantiFERON-TB Gold In-tube (QFT-GIT) assay over time during the anti-TB treatment of ...

Tuberculosis progression rates in U.S. Immigrants following screening with interferon-gamma release assays

open access: yesBMC Public Health, 2016
Background Interferon-gamma release assays may be used as an alternative to the tuberculin skin test for detection of M. tuberculosis infection. However, the risk of active tuberculosis disease following screening using interferon-gamma release assays in
