PD‐1 Inhibits CD4+ TRM‐Mediated cDC1 Mobilization via Suppressing JAML in Human NSCLC

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
CD4+ tissue‐resident memory T cells (TRMs) in non‐small cell lung cancer recruit conventional type 1 dendritic cells via XCL1‐XCR1 signaling, orchestrating antitumor immunity. The costimulatory molecule JAML is essential for this process. PD‐1 blockade restores JAML expression and cDC1 mobilization, while JAML agonists synergize with anti‐PD‐1 therapy,

Interferon-gamma rescues dendritic cell calcineurin-dependent responses to Aspergillus fumigatus via Stat3 to Stat1 switching

open access: yesiScience
Summary: Invasive pulmonary aspergillosis is a lethal opportunistic fungal infection in transplant recipients receiving calcineurin inhibitors. We previously identified a role for the calcineurin pathway in innate immune responses to A.

RNF213 Is an Interferon‐Stimulated Gene That Targets Influenza A Virus NP and Activates MDA5 to Restrict Infection

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
RNF213 is characterized as a dual‐functional antiviral effector. It directly mediates the degradation of the influenza A virus nucleoprotein (NP) while simultaneously activating the MDA5‐mediated innate immune signaling pathway. This coordinated response establishes a powerful host defense system against viral infection. ABSTRACT Influenza A virus (IAV)

First report of hepatobiliary Mycobacterium avium infection developing obstructive jaundice in a patient with neutralizing anti–interferon-gamma autoantibodies

open access: yesNew Microbes and New Infections, 2019
This study describes a patient who experienced hepatobiliary Mycobacterium avium infection associated with neutralizing anti–interferon gamma (IFN-γ) autoantibodies during treatment for disseminated M. avium disease. Hepatobiliary M.

Activation of human polymorphonuclear neutrophil functions by interferon-gamma and tumor necrosis factors.

open access: yesJournal of Immunology, 1985
Recombinant human interferon-gamma (rHuIFN-gamma) and natural human tumor necrosis factor beta (nHuTNF-beta) (previously called lymphotoxin), purified to homogeneity, were used to assess their effects on certain functions of human polymorphonuclear ...

Interferon Gamma: Friend or Foe?

open access: yesTransplantation, 2007
Interferon gamma (IFN-gamma) can elicit an inflammatory TH1-driven immune response but has also been found to be necessary for long-term allograft survival induced by costimulation blockade. Recently, we have found that regulatory T cells rapidly and transiently produce IFN-gamma creating a microenvironment that can influence the function of antigen ...

CDK4/6 Inhibition Induces CD8+ T Cell Antitumor Immunity via MIF‐Induced Functional Orchestration of Tumor‐Associated Macrophages

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
CDK4/6 inhibition promotes CD8+ T cell expansion through tumor‐macrophage crosstalk by activating HIF‐1α and enhancing MIF‐CD44/CD74 signaling. This reprograms TAMs to boost MHC‐I antigen presentation, and CDK4/6 inhibitor‐trained M1 TAM supernatant therapy synergizes with low‐dose PD‐1 blockade to restore antitumor immunity.
