This review article provides a general perspective of the experimental and clinical work surrounding the role of type-I, type-II, and type-III interferons (IFNs) in the pathophysiology of brain and spinal cord injury. Since IFNs are themselves well-known

We aimed to comprehensively understand the functional mechanisms of immunity, especially of the CD8+/− subsets of gamma delta (γδ) T cells, using an RNA-sequencing analysis. Herein, γδ T cells were obtained from bronchial lymph node tissues of 38-day-old

Multidimensional Cellular Micro‐Compartments to Model Invasive Lobular Carcinoma Dormancy
Invasive lobular carcinoma (ILC) is an understudied subtype of breast cancer that is susceptible to late recurrences. In this study, micro‐compartmentalization techniques spanning multiple dimensions, including 2D, pseudo‐3D, and 3D, are integrated to uncover the mechanisms underlying ILC dormancy, revealing the central role of p27Kip1.

Surface‐host dialogue at the implant interface governs biological fate and osseointegration. Surface physicochemical properties of titanium (Ti) dental implants, including microgrooves, nanopatterns, nanotopography, roughness, and wettability, modulate the initial adsorption of proteins and the formation of a dynamic biointerface.

Gellan gum fluid gel (FG) enables controlled ocular delivery of mesenchymal stromal cell (MSC)‐derived extracellular vesicles (EV). Its shear‐thinning, solid‐liquid‐solid rheology ensures prolonged ocular retention. Sustained MSC‐EV release (∼18% in 6 hrs) supports effective EV ocular delivery.

Objectives: In the performance of interferon gamma release assays (IGRA) for the diagnosis of tuberculosis (TB) infection, false-negative results are a major obstacle. In active TB patients, treatment-dependent changes of the negative test results remain

Nanoemulsion delivery of a TLR7 agonist enhances safety and promotes colocalization with Leishmania‐infected macrophages in skin lesions, enabling a ∼2‐log reduction in parasite burden. However, tissue‐level constraints and TLR‐driven regulatory feedback generate a mixed immune response that limits complete parasite clearance.

Peritoneal carcinomatosis is a hard‐to‐treat spread of abdominal cancers that often returns after therapy. Nanoparticles were developed to retain an immune‐boosting drug in the abdomen. When combined with chemotherapy in mice, this approach eliminated tumors in many cases and prevented recurrence, helping the immune system mount a stronger, longer ...
