Identification of senescence‐related genes in Parkinson's disease reveals candidate therapeutic targets and pathological processes

open access: yesAnimal Models and Experimental Medicine, EarlyView.
At the genomic level, a large number of differentially expressed genes (DEGs) and aging‐related DEGs have been screened. Ten hub genes, such as IFNγ and IRF7, have been identified and shown potential value in the diagnosis of PD, holding promise as novel biomarkers to facilitate early and precise diagnosis.

AI-driven multi-omics drug repurposing nominates AZD7762 as a multitarget inhibitor of IL22RA1 and FAM221A in esophageal squamous cell carcinoma

open access: yesnpj Precision Oncology
Esophageal squamous cell carcinoma (ESCC) is an aggressive malignancy with limited targeted treatment options and poor clinical outcomes. We developed an AI-driven multi-omics pipeline that links prognostic modeling to multitarget drug repurposing for ...

Insulin Resistance Mediates the Association Between Vitamin D and Non-Alcoholic Fatty Liver Disease

open access: yesInternational Journal of Preventive Medicine
Background: Vitamin D (VD) deficiency and insulin resistance (IR) increase the risk of non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD), but few studies have explored the potential mechanisms by which IR mediates the association between VD and the pathogenesis ...

Adenosine monophosphate–activated protein kinase activation is associated with suppression of NLRP3 inflammasome–mediated neuroinflammation in a weight‐drop model of traumatic brain injury in Sprague–Dawley rats

open access: yesAnimal Models and Experimental Medicine, EarlyView.
This graphical abstract illustrates the study's schematic model. Adenosine monophosphate–activated protein kinase (AMPK) activators exhibited neuroprotection in the weight‐drop model of traumatic brain injury by improving cognition and regulating oxidative stress, microglial activation, and nucleotide‐binding oligomerization domain, leucine‐rich repeat,

IL‐2Rα is a potential biomarker for heart failure diagnosis of patients with end‐stage renal disease and haemodialysis

open access: yesESC Heart Failure
Aims Heart failure (HF) is a leading cause of mortality in patients with end‐stage renal disease (ESRD) undergoing haemodialysis. Identifying novel predictors of HF is essential for improving diagnostic precision and enhancing patient outcomes.

Purification and characterization of heterologously produced cannabinoid receptor 1 and G proteins [PDF]

open access: yes, 2007
G protein coupled receptors form the largest group of transmembrane proteins, which are involved in signal transduction and are targeted directly or indirectly by 40-50% of the drugs in the market.

Ursolic Acid Alleviates Orchitis via Modulating Ferroptosis in Peritubular Myoid Cells of Testis

open access: yesAnimal Research and One Health, EarlyView.
Ursolic acid modulates key ferroptosis‐related pathways in the peritubular myoid cells of the testis in forest musk deer. ABSTRACT Chronic stress adversely affects reproductive health, increasing susceptibility to pathologies such as orchitis. Additionally, the maintenance of iron homeostasis is essential for preserving the function of the testicles ...
