Ten interleukins and risk of prostate cancer
BackgroundInterleukins (ILs) have been reported to be related to prostate cancer. The aims of this study were to estimate the levels for several key interleukins in prostate cancer and the causal effects between them.MethodsWe conducted a bi-directional ...

A Fast Second-Order Explicit Predictor-Corrector Numerical Technique To Investigating And Predicting The Dynamic Of Cytokine Levels And Human Immune Cells Activation In Response To Gram-Positive Bacteria: Staphylococcus Aureus [PDF]
This paper develops a second-order explicit predictor-corrector numerical approach for solving a mathematical model on the dynamic of cytokine expressions and human immune cell activation in response to the bacterium staphylococcus aureus (S. aureus). The proposed algorithm is at least zero-stable and second-order accurate.

Interleukin-17A and interleukin-23 in morphea
Morphea is a disease included in the group of scleroderma type autoimmune diseases. Interleukin (IL)-17A may play a role at every stage of its pathogenesis. The study aimed at evaluation of IL-17A and IL-23 (as the main cytokine which is supposed to stimulate and maintain synthesis of IL-17) in pathogenesis of morphea. The studies were performed on 41 ...

Interleukin-1 and Interleukin-6 in Psoriasis
We report on the levels of expression of IL-1 and IL-6 in skin from psoriasis patients. Different approaches were pursued. Initially, the levels of IL-1 beta and IL-6 were measured in suction blister fluid from lesional and uninvolved skin from psoriasis patients, using a sensitive enzyme-linked immunoabsorbent assay (ELISA) and bio-assay.

Gasdermin D is an executor of pyroptosis and required for interleukin-1β secretion
Inflammasome is an intracellular signaling complex of the innate immune system. Activation of inflammasomes promotes the secretion of interleukin 1β (IL-1β) and IL-18 and triggers pyroptosis.

How native state topology affects the folding of Dihydrofolate Reductase and Interleukin-1beta [PDF]
The overall structure of the transition state and intermediate ensembles experimentally observed for Dihydrofolate Reductase and Interleukin-1beta can be obtained utilizing simplified models which have almost no energetic frustration. The predictive power of these models suggest that, even for these very large proteins with completely different folding
