IL-15 and IL15RA in Osteoarthritis: Association With Symptoms and Protease Production, but Not Structural Severity

open access: yesFrontiers in Immunology, 2020
Objective: Interleukin-15 (IL-15) is a pro-inflammatory cytokine that is increased in joint fluids of early-stage osteoarthritis (OA) patients, and has been associated with expression of proteases that can damage cartilage, and the development of ...

СORONAVIRUS INFECTION WITH AN OBESITY

open access: yesВестник медицинского института «Реавиз»: Реабилитация, врач и здоровье, 2021
Summary. Relevance of the topic: most of the world is obese and there are enough cases of the impact of this pathology on the development of a complicated and severe course of novel coronavirus (COVID-19)infection.

Reciprocal control of viral infection and phosphoinositide dynamics

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Phosphoinositides, although scarce, regulate key cellular processes, including membrane dynamics and signaling. Viruses exploit these lipids to support their entry, replication, assembly, and egress. The central role of phosphoinositides in infection highlights phosphoinositide metabolism as a promising antiviral target.

In Vitro Study of Immune Properties of New Lactobacilli Isolates from Pheasant Gut

open access: yesFolia Veterinaria, 2020
The goal of this paper was to study the effect of Lactobacillus reuteri B1/1, B2/1 and B6/1 on the relative expression of selected interleukins (IL-1β, IL-15), macrophage inflammatory protein (MIP-1β), and the relative percentage of T lymphocyte ...

Function‐driven design of a surrogate interleukin‐2 receptor ligand

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Interleukin (IL)‐2 signaling can be achieved and precisely fine‐tuned through the affinity, distance, and orientation of the heterodimeric receptors with their ligands. We designed a biased IL‐2 surrogate ligand that selectively promotes effector T and natural killer cell activation and differentiation. Interleukin (IL) receptors play a pivotal role in

Gallbladder Interleukins in Children with Calculous Cholecystitis

open access: yesPediatric Reports, 2021
Calculous cholecystitis connects to inflammation and various complications. It is a common disease in the paediatric population, yet it is still uncertain how inflammation factors are involved in its morphopathogenesis.

Inhibition of CDK9 enhances AML cell death induced by combined venetoclax and azacitidine

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
The CDK9 inhibitor AZD4573 downregulates c‐MYC and MCL‐1 to induce death of cytarabine (AraC)‐resistant AML cells. This enhances VEN + AZA‐induced cell death significantly more than any combination of two of the three drugs in AraC‐resistant AML cells.

Predictors of response and rational combinations for the novel MCL‐1 inhibitor MIK665 in acute myeloid leukemia

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This study characterizes the responses of primary acute myeloid leukemia (AML) patient samples to the MCL‐1 inhibitor MIK665. The results revealed that monocytic differentiation is associated with MIK665 sensitivity. Conversely, elevated ABCB1 expression is a potential biomarker of resistance to the treatment, which can be overcome by the combination ...

Clinical application of serum biomarkers for detecting and monitoring of chronic plaque psoriasis

open access: yesFrontiers in Molecular Biosciences, 2023
Psoriasis, a chronic, multisystemic inflammatory disease affecting millions of people globally, manifests as erythematous, thick, scaly plaques on the skin. Clinical evaluation remains to be the benchmark for diagnosis and monitoring of this debilitating

Intein‐based modular chimeric antigen receptor platform for specific CD19/CD20 co‐targeting

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
CARtein is a modular CAR platform that uses split inteins to splice antigen‐recognition modules onto a universal signaling backbone, enabling precise, scarless assembly without re‐engineering signaling domains. Deployed here against CD19 and CD20 in B‐cell malignancies, the design supports flexible multi‐antigen targeting to boost T‐cell activation and
