Perioperative Enhanced Recovery After Surgery (ERAS) Clinical Pathway for Unilateral Biportal Endoscopy with Unilateral Laminotomy for Bilateral Decompression

open access: yesOrthopaedic Surgery, EarlyView.
For patients undergoing UBE‐ULBD surgery, the application of the ERAS clinical program can lead to satisfactory clinical outcomes. ABSTRACT Objective Unilateral biportal endoscopy with unilateral laminotomy for bilateral decompression (UBE‐ULBD) is a widely utilized minimally invasive surgical technique for treating lumbar spinal stenosis (LSS).

Radiographic Anatomy and Clinical Value of the Modified Corner Approach in Interlaminar Endoscopic Lumbar Discectomy

open access: yesOrthopaedic Surgery, EarlyView.
The modified corner approach is a simple, standard, and repeatable surgical approach with the intersection of the superior endplate and facet joint as the puncture target. For patients without or with mild facet joint degeneration, the puncture target can be appropriately moved inward by 2 mm.

Impact of Habitual Flexion on Bone Formation After Spinal Fusion Surgery: An In Silico Study

open access: yesJOR SPINE, Volume 8, Issue 3, September 2025.
Lumbar spinal fusion is an effective treatment for spinal conditions, but non‐union remains a challenge due to unfavorable mechanical signals at the fusion site. This study used a computational model to investigate how habitual flexion loading affects bone fusion, finding that hybrid (compression + flexion) loading led to greater bone formation ...
