A nucleotide‐independent, pan‐RAS‐targeted DARPin elicits anti‐tumor activity in a multimodal manner
We report a Designed Ankyrin Repeat Protein that binds and inhibits RAS proteins, which serve as central cell signaling hubs and are essential for the progression of many cancers. Its unique feature is that it does not discriminate between different RAS isoforms or mutations and is capable of binding to RAS in both its active (GTP‐bound) and inactive ...

Frequency-domain analysis of intrinsic neuronal properties using high-resistant electrodes
Intrinsic cellular properties of neurons in culture or slices are usually studied by the whole cell clamp method using low-resistant patch pipettes. These electrodes allow detailed analyses with standard electrophysiological methods such as current- or ...

Overexpression of CHRDL2 in colon cancer cells makes them more stem‐like and resistant to chemo‐ and radiotherapy. CHRDL2‐high cells have upregulation of the WNT pathway, genes involved in the DNA damage response (DDR) pathway and epithelial‐to‐mesenchymal transition (EMT). This leads to quicker repair of damaged DNA and more cell migration.

Palmitoylation of ULK1 by ZDHHC13 plays a crucial role in autophagy
Autophagy is a highly conserved process from yeast to mammals in which intracellular materials are engulfed by a double-membrane organelle called autophagosome and degrading materials by fusing with the lysosome.

EMT‐associated bias in the Parsortix® system observed with pancreatic cancer cell lines
The Parsortix® system was tested for CTC enrichment using pancreatic cancer cell lines with different EMT phenotypes. Spike‐in experiments showed lower recovery of mesenchymal‐like cells. This was confirmed with an EMT‐inducible breast cancer cell line.

Ketamine effect on intracellular and mitochondrial calcium mobilization [PDF]
The suppressive effects of ketamine on intracellular calcium has been reported in a variety of cells although the mechanisms involved are not well understood.

The immunomodulatory properties of probiotics largely depend on the metabolites secreted into the culture medium, which is studied as a cell-free supernatant and referred to as postbiotics. The aim of the present work was to conduct screening of cytokine
