Expression of Selenoprotein Genes Is Affected by Heat Stress in IPEC-J2 Cells
Biological Trace Element Research, 2015The aim of this study was to explore the impacts of heat stress (HS) on expressions of selenoprotein genes in IPEC-J2 cells. Cells were cultured with 5 % CO2-humidified chamber at 37 °C until the cells grew to complete confluence and then exposed to a mild hyperthermia at 41.5 °C (HS) or 37 °C (control) for another 24 h, finally harvested for total RNA

Fumonisin B1 induces oxidative stress, inflammation and necroptosis in IPEC-J2 cells
Veterinary Research CommunicationsFumonisin B1 (FB1), an important mycotoxin, poses a significant threat to public health and livestock production due to its widespread contamination. Furthermore, the gastrointestinal tract is particularly vulnerable to FB1 exposure given its frequent contamination of staple crops such as corn.

Hypoxia Compromised Barrier Integrity in IPEC‐J2 Monolayer Independent of Oxidative Stress
The FASEB Journal, 2016Hypoxia is a known antagonist of intestinal epithelial barrier integrity; however, it is unknown if oxidative stress (OS) plays a mechanistic role. Therefore, this study investigates the role of OS in hypoxia‐compromised barrier integrity using non‐transformed porcine jejunum cell line, IPEC‐J2.
