GNSS Spoofing Detection via Opportunistic IRIDIUM Signals [PDF]
In this paper, we study the privately-own IRIDIUM satellite constellation, to provide a location service that is independent of the GNSS. In particular, we apply our findings to propose a new GNSS spoofing detection solution, exploiting unencrypted IRIDIUM Ring Alert (IRA) messages that are broadcast by IRIDIUM satellites.

Affinity-Based Luminescent Iridium(III) Complexes for the Detection of Disease-Related Proteins
The occurrence of diseases is usually accompanied by changes in protein levels and types. These differentially expressed proteins can be used as biomarkers for the diagnosis and treatment of diseases.

pH sensor properties of electrochemically grown iridium oxide [PDF]
The open-circuit potential of an electrochemically grown iridium oxide film is measured and shows a pH sensitivity between −60 and −80 mV/pH. This sensitivity is found to depend on the state of oxidation of the iridium oxide film; for a higher state of ...

Electrons in chains: A novel metallic chain made up of six iridium atoms (see picture) with an average oxidation state of +1.33 has been found in the complex HH,HT,HH-[Ir6(μ-OPy)6(I)2(CO)12] (Opy=2-pyridonate, H=head, T=tail). This complex provides a new link in the electronic sequence connecting dinuclear IrI and IrII complexes.

Low-cost machine learning approach to the prediction of transition metal phosphor excited state properties [PDF]
Photoactive iridium complexes are of broad interest due to their applications ranging from lighting to photocatalysis. However, the excited state property prediction of these complexes challenges ab initio methods such as time-dependent density functional theory (TDDFT) both from an accuracy and a computational cost perspective, complicating high ...

Superconductivity in Ca10(Ir4As8)(Fe2As2)5 with Square-Planar Coordination of Iridium [PDF]
We report the unprecedented square-planar coordination of iridium in the iron iridium arsenide Ca10(Ir4As8)(Fe2As2)5. This material experiences superconductivity at 16 K. X-ray photoemission spectroscopy and first- principles band calculation suggest Ir(II) oxidation state, which yields electrically conductive Ir4As8 layers. Such metallic spacer layers
