Motion‐Insensitive Flip Angle Modulated Liver Proton Density Fat‐Fraction and R2* Mapping During Free‐Breathing MRI in a Clinical Setting

open access: yesJournal of Magnetic Resonance Imaging, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Breath‐held quantitative three‐dimensional chemical‐shift‐encoded (3D‐CSE)‐MRI is widely used for liver fat and iron quantification but is limited in patients unable to hold breath. Motion‐insensitive two‐dimensional flip angle modulated (2D‐FAM) acquisitions with short temporal aperture may address this limitation.

Digestive autoimmune diseases mimicking gastrointestinal manifestations in children with sickle cell anemia: A report of three cases

open access: yesJPGN Reports, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Sickle cell anemia (SCA) is a genetic disorder that presents with a variety of systemic complications, including gastrointestinal (GI) manifestations. These GI symptoms can overlap with those of digestive autoimmune diseases (DAD) such as inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) and autoimmune hepatitis (AIH), complicating the diagnosis and management.

Major Ozonated Autoheamotherapy Alleviates Skeletal Muscle Ischemia/Reperfusion Injury by Regulating Nrf2/HO‐1 Pathway

open access: yesThe Kaohsiung Journal of Medical Sciences, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Skeletal muscle ischaemia/reperfusion (I/R) injury remains a clinically significant condition characterized by muscular dystrophy. Although ozone therapy has shown protective potential against I/R injury in animal models of various organs including skeletal muscle, its precise mechanistic underpinnings require further elucidation.
