Condensation of Indole with Isatin over AlCl3/Mesoporous Aluminosilicate

open access: yesIndonesian Journal of Chemistry, 2015
Aluminium chloride immobilized on mesoporous aluminosilicate was investigated as catalysts in the condensation of isatin with indole. AlCl3/mesoporous aluminosilicate (AlCl3/AM) catalysts were prepared by impregnation of 1, 5, 10 and 15 wt% AlCl3 on the ...

Organo‐, Metal‐, and Enzyme‐Mediated Stereoselective Transformations of α‐Angelica Lactone

open access: yesChemCatChem, Volume 17, Issue 10, May 22, 2025.
α‐Angelica lactone is a readily available small molecule from biomass source, which, coupled with cheapness and versatile reactivity, attracted significant interest for applications in asymmetric synthesis. In this minireview, stereoselective organo‐, metal‐, and enzymatic‐based approaches for the construction of new butenolide‐containing heterocycles,

Hypoxia in the Initiation and Progression of Neuroblastoma Tumours [PDF]

open access: yes, 2020
Neuroblastoma is the most frequent extracranial solid tumour in children, causing 10% of all paediatric oncology deaths. It arises in the embryonic neural crest due to an uncontrolled behaviour of sympathetic nervous system progenitors, giving rise to ...

Skeletal Rearrangements of Amides via Breaking Inert Bonds

open access: yesChemistry – A European Journal, Volume 31, Issue 25, May 5, 2025.
This review highlights advances in amide skeletal rearrangement reactions over the past two decades, categorized by the initial bond cleavages: C─N bond cleavage, C─C bond cleavage, and C═O bond activation. It summarizes emerging strategies, mechanistic insights, and synthetic applications, providing a focused perspective on recent developments in this

The structure of isatin―I [PDF]

open access: yesProceedings of the Royal Society of London. Series A - Mathematical and Physical Sciences, 1936
The constitution of isatin has long presented a problem of considerable interest. This substance may react either as a lactam (I) or as a lactim (II), giving rise, for example, to two quite distinct methyl ethers, the nitrogen-ether (III) or the somewhat unstable oxygen-ether (IV).

Computational Design, Synthesis, and Biological Assessment of Some Pyrrolo[3,4‐c]Pyrroles Targeting Mycobacterium Tuberculosis

open access: yesChemistrySelect, Volume 10, Issue 17, May 5, 2025.
A new set of spirooxindole‐ and spiroindenoquinoxaline‐derived pyrrolo[3,4‐c] pyrroles has been synthesized through atom‐economic one‐pot multicomponent reactions. Based on the results, compounds 4b and 5a demonstrated promising Glide scores and exhibited strong binding affinity with decaprenylphosphoryl‐β‐D‐ribofuranose oxidoreductase.
