The infrared spectra of organic thiocyanates and isothiocyanates

open access: yes, 1959
The infrared spectra of several organic thiocyanates and isothiocyanates have been studied. The thiocyanates and the isothiocyanates can be distinguished by their characteristic vibration frequencies around 2140 cm−1 and between 2060-2105 cm−1 ...

HNRNPU K181 Lactylation Drives Cervical Cancer Growth by Upregulating PHGDH and Reprogramming Serine Metabolism

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Lactate in cervical cancer induces HNRNPU K181 lactylation, opposed by NAA50‐mediated acetylation and suppressed by Pazopanib. This lactylation enhances HNRNPU binding to PHGDH pre‐mRNA exon 1, maintaining exon 1‐containing transcripts and mRNA stability, thereby activating serine metabolism.

Crystal structure of chlorido(η2-phenyl isothiocyanate-κ2C,S)-mer-tris(trimethylphosphane-κP)iridium(I)

open access: yesActa Crystallographica Section E, 2014
The molecule of the title compound, [IrCl(C7H5NS)(C3H9P)3], is a distorted octahedral iridium complex with three PMe3 ligands arranged in a meridional geometry, a chloride ion cis to all three PMe3 groups and the phenyl isothiocyanate ligand bonded in an

Tailored Porous Bimetallic Nanozyme Platform for Full‐Cycle Therapeutics of Intestinal Ischemia/Reperfusion

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Intestinal ischemia/reperfusion (I/R) injury presents a biphasic pathology: an acute oxidative‐inflammatory phase leading to organ failure, and a recovery phase marked by mucosal dysfunction and bacterial translocation. The developed MPB@TA‐Cu‐Ma nanocomposite functions as a dual‐phase therapeutic platform with significant efficacy. It rapidly

Isothiocyanates: Promising Chemical Substance for Environmental Remediation

open access: yes, 2021
The lack of proper waste management as well as enforcement policies in many countries of the world have resulted in environmental pollution problems including the discharge of pollutants into water from many sources, including agriculture, tannery ...

Selective Inhibition of Integrin β3 Topology Provides a Safer Antithrombotic Strategy

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Current integrin αIIbβ3 inhibitors effectively reduce thrombosis but also increase bleeding risk. During thrombosis, high shear blood flow can directly activate the integrin αIIbβ3 via a distinct topological change in the β3 transmembrane domain, independent of hemostatic platelet signaling.

Mechanism of action of isothiocyanates. A review [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
Isothiocyanates (ITC), originating from the enzymatic degradation of glucosinolates (GSL ), which are secondary metabolites of Brassicaceae plants, exhibit anticarcinogenic properties due to their ability to induce cytoprotective genes. The mechanisms of

Developmentally Inspired Bioprinting of Nascent Multicellular Human Heart Tissue Through in Situ Differentiation and Morphogenesis of iPSCs

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A developmentally inspired bioprinting approach enables the fabrication of pluripotent tissues that undergo shape‐morphing and in situ cardiac lineage specification. This method employs embedded bioprinting to deposit iPSCs within soft granular hydrogels to create pluripotent tissue constructs that undergo cell‐mediated shape morphogenesis.

A Chirality‐Converted Bacteriolytic Dodecapeptide Regulates Vibrio‐Induced Polymicrobial Infection and Ameliorates Invasion‐Associated Gut Microbiota Disequilibrium

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Multidrug‐resistant Vibrio infections are rising rapidly and threaten coastal populations worldwide. This study introduces D‐zp37, a chirality‐engineered antimicrobial peptide with exceptional potency against resistant Vibrio species. D‐zp37 kills planktonic cells, blocks mixed‐species biofilms, disrupts essential bacterial stress responses, and shows ...

New Facile Synthesis of Adamantyl Isothiocyanates

open access: yes, 2017
A series of adamantyl isothiocyanates containing different substituents in the nodal positions of adamantane or spacers between the adamantane and isothiocyanate group have been synthesised by using the reaction of the corresponding adamantyl amines with
