Isolation and identification of antifungal compounds produced by Bacillus Y-IVI for suppressing Fusarium wilt of muskmelon

open access: yesPlant Protection Science, 2016
The Bacillus strain Y-IVI was used in the biocontrol of muskmelon Fusarium wilt. It was identified as Bacillus subtilis. The antifungal compounds from the culture filtrate were purified by high performance liquid chromatography.

Action of the antibiotics of the iturin group on artificial membranes.

open access: yesThe Journal of Antibiotics, 1984
The action of iturin A and bacillomycin L on vesicles of dipalmitoylphosphatidylcholine (DPPC) and DPPC-cholesterol was studied. Iturin A destroyed the vesicles, bacillomycin L bound with DPPC vesicles and destroyed vesicles containing DPPC and cholesterol.

Dynamic processes of hyphae of FG as affected by iturin A or plipastatin A.

open access: yes, 2015
Hyphae in control treatment (CK) had active apical growth with equal widths and many quickly elongating branches (circle); iturin A at MIC caused distortion and conglobation along hyphae, with lateral expansion and very restricted apical growth (iturin A,

Antimicrobial Activity of Bacillus sp. Natural Isolates and Their Potential Use in the Biocontrol of Phytopathogenic Bacteria

open access: yesFood Technology and Biotechnology, 2012
Screening of 203 Bacillus sp. natural isolates for antimicrobial activity against phytopathogenic bacteria showed that 127 tested strains inhibit at least one sensitive strain, which illustrates their potential use as biocontrol agents.

Biocontrol of Rhizoctonia Solani on Soybean With Bacillus Amyloliquefaciens Producing Iturin A

open access: yes, 1998
Three major antifungal compounds produced by strain B94 were purified from the culture filtrate using chromatography techniques including ultrafiltration, SPE, TLC, and HPLC. Amino acid composition analysis showed all the three isolated compounds consist
