Establishment and characterization of a new class of adenylate cyclases (class VII ACs) in plants

open access: yesHeliyon, 2023
Adenylate cyclase is the key enzyme in the synthesis of cAMP. Now, more and more plant genes which possessing AC function are being identified, but the classification of plant ACs has not yet been systematically studied and the relationship of plant ACs ...

The multidimensional regulation roles and mechanisms of calcium in fruit quality

open access: yesJournal of Integrative Plant Biology, EarlyView.
This review explores how calcium signaling molecule integrates plant hormones, environmental cues, and developmental signals to influence external fruit traits, internal nutritional properties, and physiological disorders. ABSTRACT Calcium (Ca2+), a dual‐functional mineral that serves both as an essential structural factor and a signaling molecule ...

Development of Chloroplast Microsatellite Markers and Analysis of Chloroplast Diversity in Chinese Jujube (Ziziphus jujuba Mill.) and Wild Jujube (Ziziphus acidojujuba Mill.).

open access: yesPLoS ONE, 2015
Ziziphus is an important genus within the family Rhamnaceae. This genus includes several important fruit tree species that are widely planted in China and India, such as the Chinese jujube (Ziziphus jujuba Mill.), the wild jujube (Z.

Shoot organogenesis in leaf explants of Hydrangea macrophylla ‘Hyd1’ and assessing genetic stability of regenerants using ISSR markers [PDF]

open access: yes, 2011
For the first time, an in vitro regeneration protocol of Hydrangea macrophylla 'Hyd1' was developed. Effects of different plant growth regulators (PGRs) on shoot regeneration were investigated jointly with selecting optimal basal media and cefotaxime ...

3‐Methyl‐1‐Butanol Enhances Postharvest Resistance of Red Grapes to Botrytis cinerea by Activating Phenylpropanoid Metabolism and Antioxidant Defences

open access: yesPlant Biotechnology Journal, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Grey mould, caused by Botrytis cinerea, is a significant postharvest disease leading to substantial economic losses in the grape industry. This study investigated the regulatory mechanism of 3‐methyl‐1‐butanol (3M1B), a yeast volatile substance, on B. cinerea resistance in red grapes (Vitis vinifera L.).

Hydrogen Gas Enhances Salinity Tolerance in Tomato Seedlings by Regulating the S‐Nitrosylation of MEK1

open access: yesPlant Biotechnology Journal, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Hydrogen gas (H2) effectively alleviates abiotic stress in horticultural plants. Protein S‐nitrosylation, a key post‐translational modification, serves as a critical mechanism for nitric oxide (NO) to exert its biological function under adverse conditions.

Bioinformatics Analysis of the Lycopene β-Cyclase Gene in Jujube (Ziziphus jujube Mill)

open access: yesIOP Conference Series: Earth and Environmental Science, 2021
Abstract Lycopene β-cyclase enzyme is a key cyclase in carotenoid synthesis pathway, which catalyzes the formation of catalytic ring to synthesize α-carotene and β-carotene. In this study, the physicochemical properties, secondary structure, subcellular localization and homology of ZjLCYb were analyzed.

Isolation and characterization of 11 polymorphic microsatellite markers developed for Orthops palus(Heteroptera: Miridae) [PDF]

open access: yes, 2016
Miridae (Hemiptera: Heteroptera: Cimicomorpha), or plant bugs, are one of the most diverse and species-rich families of insects. Most of them are phytophagous, but some are insect predators and used for biocontrol.

Clinical Effectiveness of Rikkunshito in Neonates With Radiologically Confirmed Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease and Gastric Volvulus

open access: yesTraditional &Kampo Medicine, Volume 13, Issue 1, April 2026.
This retrospective study demonstrates the therapeutic efficacy of Rikkunshito in neonates with radiologically confirmed gastric volvulus or gastroesophageal reflux disease. Rikkunshito treatment significantly improved weight gain and vomiting frequency without serious adverse events, suggesting it is a safe and effective pharmacologic option.
