A Pan‐Methylome Framework for Population‐Scale Bacterial Epigenomics

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A scalable quantitative framework unlocks population‐level comparative epigenomics in bacteria. By transforming site‐level data into standardized traits, this approach reconstructs methylation‐informed phylogenies and defines the core epigenome.

Gödel justification logics and realization

open access: yesLogic Journal of the IGPL, 2021
AbstractWe study the topic of realization from classical justification logics in the context of the recently introduced Gödel justification logics. We show that the standard Gödel modal logics of Caicedo and Rodriguez are not realized by the Gödel justification logics and moreover, we study possible extensions of the Gödel justification logics, which ...

A Dual‐Modal Wearable PPG Smartwatch with AI‐Enhanced Correction for High‐Accuracy and Continuous AF Burden Assessment

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Atrial fibrillation (AF) increases the risk of stroke and heart failure, yet accurate quantification of AF burden in daily life remains difficult. Although smartwatch photoplethysmography (PPG) supports continuous monitoring, complex rhythms and signal noise can impair burden estimation.

Wright o myšlienke teórie logického poznania (Wright on the Idea of Theory of Logical Knowledge )

open access: yesOstium, 2017
This paper is concerned with Wright’s attempt to say ‘anything‘ about our – presumed – knowledge of the validity of the most fundamental laws of logic. His account of this basic cognitive achievement is not concerned with the first-order question, ‘how ...

The Place of Informal Logic in Philosophy

open access: yesInformal Logic, 2000
We argue that informal logic is epistemological. Two central questions concern premise acceptability and connection adequacy. Both may be explicated in tenns of justification, a central epistemological concept.

The Internalized Disjunction Property for Intuitionistic Justification Logic [PDF]

open access: yes, 2018
In intuitionistic justification logic, evidence terms represent intuitionistic proofs, thatis a formula r:A means r is an intuitionistic proof of A. A natural principle in thiscontext is the internalized disjunction property (IDP), which is: for each ...

Light‐Absorbing‐Layer‐Free Flash Lamp Annealing for High‐Throughput Fabrication of All‐Solution‐Processed Oxide Electronics

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A flash lamp annealing strategy using a mullite chuck enables rapid conversion of sol–gels to metal oxides on silicon and ultra‐thin glass without extra light‐absorbing layers. Direct light absorption initiates the transformation, and the low thermal conductivity of mullite promotes heat accumulation.

Decidability for Justification Logics Revisited [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
Justification logics are propositional modal-like logics that instead of statements A is known include statements of the form A is known for reason t where the term t can represent an informal justification for A or a formal proof of A. In our present work, we introduce model-theoretic tools, namely: filtrations and a certain form of generated ...

Metabolic Memory in Cardiovascular Disease: Encoding, Propagation, and Therapeutic Targeting

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Cardiovascular risk often persists after metabolic abnormalities are corrected. This conceptual Review frames such persistence as metabolic memory, encoded through a narrowing therapeutic window from reversible marks to irreversible damage, with continuous input from peripheral organs.
