Overcoming PEG Antigenicity: Statistical PEG Isomers Reduce Antibody Binding
Conventional poly(ethylene glycol) (PEG) is commonly applied in biomedicine, but is now known to induce antibody formation. Here, it is shown that the development of “randomized PEG” (rPEG) featuring glycidyl methyl ether (GME) comonomers decreased antibody binding.

Pharmacokinetics of teicoplanin in paediatric patients—A systematic review of current literature
Background and Objective Teicoplanin is commonly used in children to treat gram‐positive infections and is sometimes used off‐label prophylactically in surgical or paediatric oncology settings. The pharmacokinetics (PK) of teicoplanin in children exhibit considerable variability, such as in critically ill children or those with renal impairment.

ABSTRACT Drug–food interactions may compromise therapeutic efficacy, particularly for life‐saving medications such as anticoagulants. Changes in gastric fluid properties, including pH modification and surface film formation, can alter drug dissolution and release. This study evaluated a potential interaction between clopidogrel and spinach and explored

Spontaneous loss and transfer of plasmid-mediated K21 antigen synthesis in Klebsiella pneumoniae. [PDF]
Five epidemiologically related urine isolates of Klebsiella pneumoniae (sensu lato), capsular serotype K21 may spontaneously lose the ability to synthesise K21 antigen in vitro and in vivo. Another four isolates of K. pneumoniae K21+, epidemiologically unrelated to the other five, did not exhibit this effect.

ABSTRACT Salmeterol is a commonly used β2‐agonist included on the List of Prohibited Substances and Methods published by the World Anti‐Doping Agency (WADA). We developed a population pharmacokinetic (popPK) model to describe the PK of salmeterol including its major metabolite, α‐hydroxysalmeterol, in plasma and urine after inhalation.
