Extraction of inosinic acid in Smoked Katsuwonus pelamis based on water

Chinese Journal of Chromatography (Se Pu), 2013
A novel method for the extraction of inosinic acid in Smoked Katsuwonus pelamis based on water was developed. The inosinic acid was extracted by 95 degrees C water for 5 min. The subsequent analysis of inosinic acid was achieved on an Agilent Zorbax SB-C18 column (150 mm x 4.6 mm, 5 microm) with the mobile phase of methanol-50 mmol/L ammonium acetate ...

Esterase polymorphisms in the skipjack tuna, Katsuwonus pelamis

Comparative Biochemistry and Physiology, 1970
Abstract 1. 1. Five groups of esterases, identified by their migration rates, substrate specificities and inhibitor sensitivities, were resolved by starch gel electrophoresis. 2. 2. Electrophoretic variations of three esterases are described and genetic schemes are proposed to explain the variations of two of them. 3. 3.

PESQUISA DE PARASITOS EM BONITO-LISTRADO (Katsuwonus pelamis)

An Investigation into the Lipid Classes of Skipjack Tuna (Katsuwonus pelamis)

Journal of Food Science, 1984
ABSTRACT The lipid classes of the muscle of Skipjack tuna ( Katsuwonus pelamis ) were investigated over a period of 10 months by thinlayer chromatography. Triglycerides, diglycerides, monoglycerides and phospholipids content varied between 48.36 ± 1.22% and 62.49 ± 3.40%; 20.

Sensitivity of restrained skipjack tuna (Katsuwonus pelamis) to abrupt increases in temperature

Comparative Biochemistry and Physiology Part A: Physiology, 1974
Abstract 1. 1. Restrained skipjack tuna (Katsuwonus pelamis) signaled by deceleration of heart rate that they could perceive abrupt temperature increases (1°C/sec) as small as 1°C. 2. 2. A thermal stimulus directed into the oral-branchial cavity was more effective in eliciting responses than stimuli delivered to the nasal cavity or the dorsal,

Evidence of spawning by hermaphroditic skipjack tuna Katsuwonus pelamis

Journal of Fish Biology, 2018
Hermaphroditic gonads were collected from three skipjack tuna Katsuwonus pelamis in the western and central Pacific Ocean. Both ovarian and testicular tissues were found in the same gonad lobe for each of the three fish. Histological sections of the hermaphroditic gonad from one K. pelamis showed postovulatory follicles, which is evidence of spawning.

QUALIDADE FÍSICO-QUÍMICA EM BONITO LISTRADO (Katsuwonus pelamis)

2022

Digestion and Food Consumption by Skipjack Tuna (Katsuwonus pelamis)

Transactions of the American Fisheries Society, 1969
Abstract Skipjack tuna, 39–50 cm fork length, were studied during their first month in captivity in tanks 7.3 m in diameter and 1.1 m deep. Water temperatures were 23.3° to 25.7° C. Passage of food through the alimentary canal was estimated from 54 fish that were fed as many thawed smelt as they would eat.

Occurrence of skipjack tuna (Katsuwonus pelamis) larvae in Korean waters

Journal of the Korean Society of Fisheries Technology, 2015
Three specimens of larvae (5.2~7.8 mm in standard length (SL)), of the family Scombridae, were collected from the southeastern waters off Jeju Island in August, 2014. These specimens were identified to Katsuwonus pelamis have melanophores distributed on the 1st dorsal-fin spines and post ventral margin on caudal peduncle.
