An NHC‐Coordinated Silicon/Sulfur Analogue of an Acyl Carbene
An NHC complex of an Si/S analogue of an acyl carbene is synthesized by the reaction of a disilyne with a cyclic thiourea. The observed Si2S three‐membered ring with unsymmetrical Si─S distances and a Si─Si single bond is consistent with intramolecular coordination of the silathioacyl sulfur to the silylene center.

1,2‐Aryl migration involving in situ‐generated alkyl iodine(III) species proceeds through a previously unrecognized 1,2‐C/I(III) dyotropic rearrangement. Migratory aryl fluorination, acetoxylation, and alkoxylation of 2‐alkyl‐2‐aryl‐3‐iodopropanoates provide α‐heterofunctionalized products, accompanied by aryl migration from the α‐ to the β‐position ...

A photochemical platform enables β–β coupling of cyclopropyl silyl ethers with electron‐deficient alkenes. The resulting adducts serve as entry points into annulative and radical–polar crossover pathways, providing rapid access to fused, bridged, and spirocyclic architectures, including late‐stage scaffold diversification to diterpene‐like carbocyclic ...

T‐Shaped Stibenium(III) Cation: Hydrostibination Without Sb─H Bond
A cationic, structurally constrained stibenium platform mediates anti‐Markovnikov hydrostibination of alkenes via element–ligand cooperativity (ELC), thereby bypassing the need for weak Sb─H bonds. ABSTRACT The hydrostibination of alkenes represents a largely underdeveloped transformation, owing to the intrinsic lability of the required Sb─H reagents ...

Protic molecules containing strong O─H or N─H bonds typically resist hydrogen‐atom abstraction because of the high reactivity of the resulting heteroatom‐centered radicals. However, association of the protic molecules with redox‐active Lewis acids can provide powerful hydrogen‐atom donors or proton‐coupled‐electron‐transfer reagents.
