Characterization of apparent lactate dehydrogenase isoenzyme 6: a lactate-independent dehydrogenase.
Abstract We found in a prospective study of lactate dehydrogenase isoenzyme 6 (LD6) in human tissues obtained at autopsy that LD6 was usually present in liver when death was preceded by prolonged hypotension or impaired ventilation but not in cases of sudden death. Other organs containing LD6 were kidney and spleen.

SUBFRACTIONS OF LACTATE DEHYDROGENASE OF THE RAT [PDF]
A survey of the lactate dehydrogenase (LDH) isozymes of 20 organs and tissues of the rat revealed a total of nine fractions exhibiting LDH activity after starch gel electrophoresis. Of the nine LDH fractions, eight were found in testis and lymph node, while the ninth fraction was unique to kidney. The occurrence of LDH fractions in excess of the usual

The dramatic growth that occurs during Drosophila larval development requires rapid conversion of nutrients into biomass. Many larval tissues respond to these biosynthetic demands by increasing carbohydrate metabolism and lactate dehydrogenase (LDH ...

Serum antioxidants as predictors of the adult respiratory distress syndrome in septic patients [PDF]
Adult respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS) can develop as a complication of various disorders, including sepsis, but it has not been possible to identify which of the patients at risk will develop this serious disorder.

From omics to AI—mapping the pathogenic pathways in type 2 diabetes
Integrating multi‐omics data with AI‐based modelling (unsupervised and supervised machine learning) identify optimal patient clusters, informing AI‐driven accurate risk stratification. Digital twins simulate individual trajectories in real time, guiding precision medicine by matching patients to targeted therapies.

Activity and isozyme content of lactate dehydrogenase under long-term oral taurine administration to rats [PDF]
The effect of long-term oral taurine administration to rats on activity of lactate dehydrogenase (LDH), its isozyme content and activity in the whole blood, liver, thigh muscle, brain and testes tissues were studied in the present work.

In this work, we reveal how different enzyme binding configurations influence the fluorescence decay of NAD(P)H in live cells using time‐resolved anisotropy imaging and fluorescence lifetime imaging microscopy (FLIM). Mathematical modelling shows that the redox states of the NAD and NADP pools govern these configurations, shaping their fluorescence ...

Lactate Dehydrogenase Isoenzymes
Abstract Five lactate dehydrogenase isoenzymes are normally observed in human serum: H4 (LDH1), H3M (LDH2), H2M2 (LDH3), HM3 (LDH4), and M4 (LDH5). This study presents evidence that these isoenzymes vary in the ratio of LDH activity (pyruvate → lactate) to LDH activity (lactate → pyruvate).

Meta-analysis of serum lactate dehydrogenase and prognosis for osteosarcoma
Backgrounds: A large number of studies have reported the relationships between serum lactate dehydrogenase (LDH) and prognosis of osteosarcoma. However, the result is still controversial and no consensus has been reached.

Developmental regulation of expression of the lactate dehydrogenase (LDH) multigene family during mouse spermatogenesis [PDF]
Expression of the Lactate Dehydrogenase (LDH) genes during various stages of spermatogenesis was studied by using a combination of Northern blot analyses and in situ hybridization techniques.
