Bioprinted Excitable Tissues with Multistimulation Systems for Promoting Function and Maturation

open access: yesAdvanced NanoBiomed Research, Volume 6, Issue 3, March 2026.
This review provides an overview of stimulation strategies used to enhance the functional maturation of bioprinted excitable tissues. It addresses key limitations in physiological performance of bioprinted excitable tissues, outlines major stimulation modalities—including electrical, mechanical, optical, magnetic, ultrasound, and hybrid—and examines ...

Targeting the Nrf2/TGF‐β1/Smad Signaling Pathway: A Novel Strategy for Urolithin A to Alleviate Renal Fibrosis

open access: yesFood Frontiers, Volume 7, Issue 2, March 2026.
The diagram of the mechanism of action by which UroA regulates RF. ABSTRACT The global prevalence and mortality rates associated with chronic kidney disease (CKD) have been on a continuous rise over recent decades. Renal fibrosis (RF) serves as a critical factor in the progression of CKD to end‐stage renal disease.

A PROBLEM OF CUTTING OFF THE LAMINATED SEMIS TYPE PLATE

open access: yesFiabilitate şi Durabilitate, 2012
A problem often coped on many domains such as wood manufacturing, glass, plastics and metallic platework industry, is the shaping or cutting off a big plate in many pieces. With this purpose there are algorithms of optimizing for positioning the parts following to be cut off from a row plate. From mathematical point of view, in positioning the parts on

The Role of One‐Carbon Metabolism in Cancer and Its Therapeutic Significance

open access: yesMedComm – Oncology, Volume 5, Issue 1, March 2026.
One‐Carbon metabolism in T‐cell activation and tumor competition. T‐cell activation shifts metabolic pathways, promoting anabolic metabolism and bioenergetic capacity. One‐carbon metabolism plays a crucial role in histone and DNA methylation in activated T cells.

Decreased Glucose Metabolism and Declined Chaperones Are Unique Features Required for the Survival of Senescent Fibroblasts and Pyruvate Dehydrogenase Is a Potent Senolytic Target

open access: yesAging Cell, Volume 25, Issue 3, March 2026.
By a global proteomic profiling of senescent human BJ fibroblasts induced by ionizing radiation, key cellular features required for the survival of senescent fibroblasts were revealed, and pyruvate dehydrogenase was demonstrated as a potent senolytic target for selectively eliminating senescent normal cells, particularly the therapy‐induced senescent ...

Senescent‐Like Myofibers Contribute to Anti‐Regenerative Cytokine Signaling in Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy

open access: yesThe FASEB Journal, Volume 40, Issue 4, 28 February 2026.
p16 expression in DMD model rats induces a senescent‐like state in myofibers accompanied by p16 and cytokine gene expression, reshaping systemic humoral environments. This cytokine‐rich milieu suppresses skeletal muscle regeneration, as demonstrated by impaired regeneration of transplanted wild‐type muscle.
