Identification of UDP-Glucuronosyltransferase 2B15 (UGT2B15) as a Target for IGF1 and Insulin Action

open access: yesCells, 2022
Normal growth and development in mammals are tightly controlled by numerous genetic factors and metabolic conditions. The growth hormone (GH)-insulin-like growth factor-1 (IGF1) hormonal axis is a key player in the regulation of these processes ...

Growth curves for Laron syndrome. [PDF]

open access: yesArchives of Disease in Childhood, 1993
Growth curves for children with Laron syndrome were constructed on the basis of repeated measurements made throughout infancy, childhood, and puberty in 24 (10 boys, 14 girls) of the 41 patients with this syndrome investigated in our clinic. Growth retardation was already noted at birth, the birth length ranging from 42 to 46 cm in the 12/20 available ...

Midlife Growth Hormone Receptor Ablation Extends Healthy Lifespan and Induces Sex‐Specific Hepatic Transcriptional Changes at Single‐Cell Resolution

open access: yesAging Cell, Volume 25, Issue 9, September 2026.
Reducing growth hormone receptor signaling beginning in middle age is sufficient to extend lifespan in both sexes while preserving metabolic and physical function, particularly in males. Single‐nucleus RNA sequencing reveals sex‐specific hepatic transcriptional remodeling associated with these longevity benefits. ABSTRACT Suppression of growth hormone (

Long-Term IGF1 Stimulation Leads to Cellular Senescence via Functional Interaction with the Thioredoxin-Interacting Protein, TXNIP

open access: yesCells, 2022
The growth hormone (GH)–insulin-like growth factor-1 (IGF1) signaling pathway plays a major role in orchestrating cellular interactions, metabolism, growth and aging.

Targeting Mitochondrial Stress Responses: Terbinafine and Miglustat as Novel Lifespan and Healthspan Modulators

open access: yesAging Cell, Volume 25, Issue 4, April 2026.
Terbinafine and miglustat are mitohormetic compounds that extend lifespan and healthspan. In C. elegans, these FDA‐approved drugs engage both ATFS‐1 and DAF‐16, highlighting a stress‐dependent coordination between mitochondrial and IIS pathways distinct from canonical IIS activation, relevant for healthy aging.

Growth hormone insensitivity syndrome: A sensitive approach

open access: yesIndian Journal of Endocrinology and Metabolism, 2012
Patients with Growth Hormone Insensitivity have characteristic phenotypic features and severe short stature. The underlying basis are mutations in the growth hormone receptor gene which gives rise to a characteristic hormonal profile.

Functional changes of the liver in the absence of growth hormone (GH) action – Proteomic and metabolomic insights from a GH receptor deficient pig model

open access: yesMolecular Metabolism, 2020
Objective: The liver is a central target organ of growth hormone (GH), which stimulates the synthesis of insulin-like growth factor 1 (IGF1) and affects multiple biochemical pathways.

Addition of Multi‐Level Technologies to Evaluate Eggs and Embryos and Improve Endometrial Quality Applied for In Vitro Fertilization to Achieve Pregnancy: A Case Study

open access: yesClinical Case Reports, Volume 14, Issue 3, March 2026.
This integrated clinical approach optimizes the reproductive cycle in several steps, starting with nutrition (A): restricting carbohydrates and inducing ketosis to reduce inflammation and improve insulin sensitivity, which benefits follicular development.

Anthropological characteristics of individuals of the IX–XI centuries from the monument of Dvin (Armenia) with growth disorders

open access: yesВестник археологии, антропологии и этнографии, 2017
Irrespective of era and habitat, people paid more attention to extraordinary and unlike phenomena, than to everywhere found and usual ones. This article is about unusual individuals of the 9th–11th centuries from Dvin, among which traces of delay of ...
